"Maybe because you make me nervous.." Eddie said, his cheeks going a slight pink.
"What? What do you mean?" y/n said
"How do I make you nervous?"
"Because your beautiful.." Eddie responded, looking straight into y/n's eyes.
"Sorry." Eddie said, looking down at his lap.
"That was really cringe wasn't it." He laughed.
"No, no it wasn't. It was cute." y/n said, smiling.
Eddie looked back up and smiled.
"You think?" He asked.
"Yeah." y/n's cheeks going pink.

~ A few weeks later ~

y/n's thoughts
He's never acted like this before.. Well maybe a few other times before. I kinda like it. Shit I'm getting butterflies. You can't like him y/n! He's your best friend..

The next day y/n ran into school and threw herself on max.
"MAX."
"Woah, what's up y/n/n."
"I have a big problem. Your coming over after school to talk about it with me, is that okay?" y/n said, staring seriously at Max.
"Uh yeah? Okay, are you alright."
"I don't know anymore!"
"Huh?" Max was confused as she watched y/n run away.
"Y/N WATCH OUT- too late." Max tried to warn.

BANG

y/n ran straight into Eddie.
"Hey y/n/n!" Eddie said, smiling down at her.
"I uh, hey Eddie."
"You alright?" He asked.
"Yes! Fine, just fine! Gotta go you see you, I mean see you later!"
Eddie stared at Max in the distance, concerned and made a face sorta saying 'what was that about.'
Max shrugged and smiled.

After school y/n grabbed Max's hand. "Okay change of plans! We're going to my bench area thing in the forest to talk!"
"Okay?" Max said, smiling.

Once they arrived they sat down at school bench and y/n took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.

"Okay, what's up?" Max said.
"I think I love Eddie."
Max's eyes widened.
"Really?"

Suddenly Eddie walked in a heard them talking, he thought to himself that he shouldn't be eavesdropping, but he couldn't help himself so he hid behind a tree.

"Yes, I do. His eyes are a deep brown that I can't seem to keep my own eyes off, he's funny, kind and honestly perfect. I do love him, well I think I do..

Eddie's eyes widened, his face dropped.. y/n didn't like him..

Oh great.. She doesn't like me after all. She likes someone else

Eddie walked away.

"I don't think it is, I think you should make a move." Max said, smirking.
"Don't get mad at me, but I've been shipping you guys since around two years ago." Max laughed, as y/n just went even redder.
"But max.. What if he doesn't like me.. That will turn our 12 years of friendship into a waste.."
"Well that's a risk you need to take y/n but to be honest, I do think he likes you."
"Really?"
"Yeah." Max said.
"Whatever happens, I'm here for you."
"Thank you Max, I appreciate it."
