For this book, everyone is in the same grade. They're all Juniors.

                               Y/N's POV:
As I walk out of my house getting ready to walk to school, I see Eddie's van parked in my drive way. A small smile is glued across my face. "Hey sweetheart, ready for school?" Eddie rolls down the window to talk to me. "Eddie I told you to stop calling me these pet name, we're not dating!" I roll my eyes. I hop into the back of his van. "I mean, the pet names are cute right?" He smiles at me through the rear view window. I can't help but start to blush. "No.." I say as I start to laugh.

••5 minutes later••

We make it to the school. Now all I have to do is try to find my friends. I look around the music room looking for max, when I bump into Steve instead. "Oh hey Steve! Sorry I didn't mean to bump into you.." you say nervously. "Oh no its okay, I mean it's not like I was looking for you or anything," You look at him confused. " You were looking for me?" "Yeah, sorry if that sounds kinda weird but-" Eddie cuts off Steve, giving him the side eye. "Hey, Y/n! I was wondering if you wanted to watch me and Hellfire perform later tonight at 7:30? I could pick you up if you wanted me to." He says, with a smirk on his face.

"Dude, I was talking to Y/n. You kinda just cut me off..?" Steve says annoyed. "Oh sorry man, I didn't notice you..but anyways, what do you think Y/n?" Eddie says, trying not to laugh. I stand in front of both of them, embarrassed. "Oh uhm, yeah of course Ill go! But Steve, what were you going to tell me?" there was a silence for about 5 seconds.
"Oh uhm.. Nothing Y/n, it's not important. But i've got to go and find Max." Steve says walking away from me and Eddie. "Oh okay! Bye Stevie!" I call him bye the stupid pet name you made up in the 6th grade.

Eddie taps your shoulder. "Stevie..? What the fuck is a Stevie?" He asks, annoyed and weirded out. "Eddie its just a stupid nick name we made up in the 6th grade. I promise!" I say giving him a small kiss on the cheek. "I've got to get to class, i'll see you at lunch, okay?" I wave to Eddie. "Okay..bye Y/n!" He smiles and waves back.

I run into my first period class, somehow still late. "Ms. Wheeler, you're late again!" Mrs. Lanforth screams at me. "I'm sorry I was just-" "Kissing Eddie? Or was it Steve this time?" My brother, Mike says outloud. My face turns redder than a tomato. Everyone in the class starts to gasp and laugh. "Just go sit down. And next time that you're late, it's detention for a week. You got that Y/n?" Mrs. Lanforth says with anger in her voice. I walk over to my desk, elbowing Mike on the way there.

••After 1-3 period••

'Okay, time for lunch..' I think to myself. I walk out of my math class, finally seeing Max, Dustin, and Lucas all talking, "Hey guys!" I smile. Everyone says hi. We all go to the table that we usually sit at, and talk about random stuff like crushes, school, grades, skateboarding, and other stuff until I hear a familiar voice. "Henderson!" Steve yells from behind the table. Dustin stands up and does extra long and cringy handshake with Steve. "Oh my god..they're so cringy sometimes.." Max whispers to you, while you start to laugh. "Uhm..Whats so funny Y/n? We're just doing our awesome handshake.." Steve says in a sarcastic tone. Everyone starts laughing then we all get up to get into the lunch line.

•sitting back down with food••

Out of know where, you see Eddie. "Eddie!! Come over here, theres an extra seat!" I say smiling and waving at Eddie. He sits next to me, with Steve on the other side of me. "So..How has everyones day been going?" I ask, trying to spark up a conversation. Everyone says that their day has been good other than Eddie. "Well my day has been kinda boring, only because I haven't had a class with you yet." He says. "Yeah, I wish you had more classes with us, Y/n! It's so boring without you. And i'm always stuck with Dustin." Max speaks up. "HEY! Rude much!" Dustin rolls his eyes. We all start laughing again, when Eddie asks everyone if they'll come to see Hellfire preform tonight.

Everyone says yes, but Steve. He just stays silent. "Yeah what about you, Stevie?" Eddie asks jokingly. "Don't fucking call me that." Steve slightly yells at Eddie. "Guys." I interrupt, before it could become anything bigger. Steve walks away from the table, and I follow him. "Y/n where the hell are you going?" Eddie asks, confused. I ignore him and keep following Steve. After about a minute of following him, I see him go into the old computer room. "Steve..are you okay..?" I ask, concerned. "Yeah..yeah its just that this Eddie guy is getting on my last nerve. And you really seem to like him too."

                             MEANWHILE

"Eddie..you realize that Steve has likes Y/n for like..EVER?" Dustin says. "I didn't know that and..and I really like Y/n. Plus it's obvious that she doesn't like him back." Eddie defends himself. "You haven't know her as long as me, Dustin, and Max have, Eddie." Lucas finally talks. "And trust me, i've seen a lot of love between them" Max adds on.

                      BACK TO Y/N AND STEVE

"Steve, I..I don't know who like right now to tell you the truth." I say, trying to he comforting. "But me and you, Y/n. We were so close to being a couple until this 'Eddie' comes in. I really likes you, Y/n. I really did." Steve stands up and walks back to the cafeteria. And I just sit there, starting to cry.
