A/N: Hey! just letting you all know this chapter is going to be the only one in 3rd person, as the rest will be in the character's point of view once their introduced. BTW ik the beginning is written weird but stick with me for a few chapters, I promise it gets better!! Also if my work is similar to another author it is purely by coincidence. I read a lot of books so some ideas that I have can be similar to other stories, but I am in no way copying another author's work and claiming it to be my own.
Third Person POV:
Emilio and Elise Rossi had 4 children together which were at the ages of 18, 15 and a set of twins at the age of 10. They hadn't planned on having more kids, especially after her last pregnancy being slightly difficult with the twins. So it came as a large but pleasant surprise when she had found out she would be going through her fourth pregnancy 10 years later. There wasn't much worrying done on her part as she had gone through this before with her other sons, and had been expecting her fifth child to be a little boy as well. On the other hand, her husband Emilio had been shocked to the point of fainting when he had heard the news. Eventually after some time they had told Rafael, Leonardo, Damien and Dante the news of them becoming older brothers again. To say the youngest children were ecstatic to have a little brother was true, but it mostly due to the fact that they were no longer going to be labeled as the 'babies' of the family.
9 MONTHS LATER 10:24 AM...
Screaming could be heard down the halls from the private room. Elise had been prepared for this day, as the pain of childbirth is something you can never forget. Currently she was squeezing her husband's hand with enough force that to him, felt like his bones were shattering. Well it was never said that pushing a child out gets easier the fourth time. She felt like she had been in labour for hours with no progress at all. She was faint and ready to pass out, being told "one more push" and "almost there!" by the doctors was not helping in the slightest. All she wanted to do was punch the man in the face, and maybe get a chocolate milkshake afterwards. That sounded heavenly to her right now. With one final push and all of the energy she had left with it, a cry was heard.
The baby was caught and taken to be cleaned a little before brought back to the parents. It was decided ahead of time that they didn't feel it necessary to know the gender of the baby, as there had been no female born in six generations. It was expected to be a boy quite obviously. As the baby was brought back, Emilio had been preoccupied with his wife to notice anything else. Elise had held her fifth child for the first time with surprise flooding her face, alerting her husband and bringing his attention to his newborn child. When he saw the colour of the blanket being pink, his love and admiration could be seen clearly across his face. It was no surprise that the rest of the family anxiously waiting outside had been left shocked to hear the news of a baby girl being welcomed to their family.
1 MONTH LATER 4:09 AM...
The family of seven was content with where their lives were. The twins, Damien and Dante had snuck in their parents room around 12:00am to sleep. Rafael their oldest child was in his room sleeping soundly, while on the other hand their second oldest child, Leo had drunk too many energy drinks and couldn't sleep. Sneaking out to the kitchen for some snacks, he stopped by his sorella's room. Leaning over the crib quietly he spotted tufts of bright ginger hair, sticking out wildly in all directions. Her brown and blue heterochromia eyes that she had inherited from both their father and mother ,were hidden from view with soft breathing being the only sound that could be heard. He cooed, and tried fixing her unruly hair that never could seem to stay down. With a soft kiss to his sorella's cheek to not wake her, he left down the stairs. A loud crash and bang were followed after, the sound of footsteps and stomping being the only other sound than a babies screams echoing against the halls. Running back up the stairs, with doors being slammed open and his family following behind they crashed into the room. It was silent, and the dread that filled the families stomach was something that no one should have to suffer through. The window was opened, and Emilio had run to see if there was anyone within his view outside. Seeing no one, he called the guards inquiring about any suspicious activity near the gate. Having heard nothing out of the ordinary he sighed relieved, and turned around to his family only to meet the horrified face of his wife. She fell to the floor, holding his daughters blanket that had her name embroidered on the fabric. It was the only remaining item that had been left behind in the crib.
Ember was gone.
