How dare he
Karma slashed the fork on the body

HOW DARE HE!!!

He tore through his skin, gouged out his eyes from
its sockets, ran the dull fork across his face with
enough force for it to go through the skin
It's his fault

Karma continued to stab the man below him with a
fork
He brought this to himself

Karma ignored the painful whines coming from his
victim as he continued to slash the fork across his
limbs, slowly but surely skinning him alive
He put his hands on my Nagisa!!
Before Karma could continue he heard a cough from
his side and a hoarse voice attempting to call him out

"K.. Kar...ma...

The red hed instantly made his way towards the
voice, towards Nagisa
Ignoring the now lifeless body on the ground in a
pool of its own blood

Karma didn't say anything but simply grabbed the
bluenette gently and embraced his slightly cold and
pale body
He's not gonna disappear right?
Karma slowly tightened his hold on the bluenette in
fear
He won't leave me here right?
Karma ignored the sound of the door opening
Of course he won't!

He ignored the sound of a pen dropping to the floor
I won't let him leave!!
He tightened his grip once more, keeping quiet as he
listened to Nagisa trying to laugh despite his
condition

Say Nagisa?

What's so nostalgic about this?

Running footsteps could be heard from outside of
ward 26
A group of doctors and nurses alike sprinting
towards the scene with Takebayashi in the lead

This time Karma looked at him, though he didn't
move his body he atleast acknowledged his
presence
Takebayashi continued

"If you don't want him to, then let go of him"

He could see Karma's grip on Nagisa tighten,
Takebayashi cringed slightly when the knife which
was still lodged in his side be disturbed
Karma currently isn't in his right mind, he needs to
be separated from Nagisa

"I can help him"

Karma was still tense but his hold on Nagisa
loosened ever so slightly
"I'm a doctor Karma, I can tend to his injury. But I
can't if you're clinging to him like this"
Karma loosened his grip but still didn't let go, his
face however visibly saddened when he heard that
he was being a nuisance

"You want to hang out with him again, right? After I
heal his wound you can be with him as long as you
want"

Takebayashi didn't like getting anyone's hopes up
nor does he like promising something on someone's
behalf without their permission
But he has no choice in the matter

He needs Karma to let him see his patient
Karma slowly but surely let go of Nagisa and gently
placed him on the ground
Takebayashi took this as a sign to check on him and
sighed in relief

"He'll be fine... right?"

He heard Karma whisper

He ignored it until after he checked on Nagisa
After confirming that the knife didn't hit any vital
organs Takebayashi's tense shoulder slumped back
in relief before ordering some of the doctors and
nurses to transport Nagisa to the emergency room
while the rest carried Asano Gakushuu's body to a
different room

Takebayashi stared at Karma before reassuring him
that Nagisa will be completely fine under their
supervision
And Karma was alright with that
Dr. Koro stared at the detailed report Takebayashi
sent after he looked after Nagisa's wound

"What are you going to do now?"

A voice echoed through the room as Koro looked up
from the sheet of paper he had in his hand
Koro smiled before sitting up straight to greet his
visitor
"Mr. Karasuma, long time no see. Say how is your
wife doing? I heard she just got back from a missio-"
"Save that for later Doctor. I'm here to talk about
your patients, I'm not here to swap pleasantries with
you"

He was cut off from his attempt at small talk by the
other's deep and more serious voice
Despite the underlying threat and urgency in the
other's voice Koro continued to smile, placing his
hand on his chin in a playful way

"I assumed you would be here for that"

"I have been investigating you and your background
for a while now Doctor"

Karasuma admitted before taking out a folder from
his briefcase

"And?"

Koro asked in a provoking manner before laughing a
bit at Karasuma's slightly irritated expression

"Although it may seem like a normal hospital on the
outside everything is borderline illegal when it
comes to what's happening behind the scenes"

Koro glanced towards the door of his office for more
than a second, catching the eye of Karasuma who
thought he was planning an escape
"I will not confirm nor deny anything Mr. Karasuma
but even if what is on that report is true you can't do
anything'

Koro stood up before walking over to his drawer
cabinet
"Bordeline illegal does not mean I'm in trouble now
is it? Although you can't touch me you are obligated
to investigate me and my business"
He touched the cabinet gently before turning
towards Karasuma
"You won't find anything though! I'm great at
keeping things hidden~"
Koro gently pushed the cabinet revealing a smaller
one behind it

"But since we go waaaay back and I am quite fond of
you, how about I tell you about two of my favorite
patients!"

"Akabane Karma and Shiota Nagisa, huh?"

Karasuma looked through the two folders Koro gave
him before glancing towards the curly haired man

"I was wondering why a serial killer was in an asylum
and not in prison, his age isn't exactly a reason for
him to be here considering how many victims he has
had"
Koro laughed before sitting back down on his chai

"Oh I simply got the court and the police to shut up
about the kid and hand him to me. Quite interesting
is he not? He has strength above the average of an
adult's even though he's so young"

Karasuma walked towards Koro's desk before
grabbing a piece of paper from one of the folders
and slide it towards the other

"As interesting as that red head may be, right now
I'm here to talk about this kid"

Koro looked down at the picture stapled on the paper
before smiling softly
"Ah yes, he's my personal favorite patient! Shiota
Nagisa is an actual enigma!"
Karasuma walked towards a couch and sat dow

"It says here that he isn't registered as a patient in
the hospital or even in ward 26. So why do you keep
calling him your patient?"
Koro laughed at the question

"Being called a 'patient' is more humane than being
called a human experiment"

Was his answer before he continued
"I'm not injecting him with experimental chemicals
you know! It's not that kind of experiment"
Koro quickly defended himself once he saw the face
Karasuma was making
"I'm simply seeing just how far his human brain can
handle me blocking his memories"
Karasuma didn't say anything, merely raising an
eyebrow prompting Koro to continue
"It was so long a go the first time we met"

Koro said in a nostalgic tone before turning around
to properly look at Karasuma's next reaction
"When he tried to assassinate me"
