Chapter 3:

Zachs' POV:

"Here.", abot sa akin ni Alfonso nga isang folder.

Kinuha ko ito at binuksan.

"What is this?", tingin ko sa nilalaman nitong folder.

"We're leaving for Philippines in a week. That will serve as an alibi.", sagot nito sa akin.

I gave him a quick look, bago ko ibinalik ang tingin sa loob ng folder. So, we're finally meeting my twin brother?

"An alibi?", ulit ko kay Alfonso. I read what's in the folder, and I guess this is not my forte at all, may naiintindihan ako but not entirely. Trabaho ko ba talaga 'to noong hindi pa nawala mga memorya ko?

"We can't just go in the Philippines without an alibi. No one knows here other than me that you have a twin brother, that'll be dangerous for you and for your position. Imagine yourself as a prey trapped inside a cage full of tigers, the moment these tigers find out about your twin brother, they'll take it as an opportunity to bring you down.", paliwanag sa akin ni Alfonso.

What a competitive and scary world I live in; where I need to be careful with my actions because one small mistake from me, then I'll be ousted. I'll be thrown out mercilessly. That's what Alfonso has been reminding me all this time.

"That's a contract. 9Yards Media is currently in the middle of producing a movie from a famous novel. There's this actress from the Philippines that surges in popularity not too long ago because of a movie she got casted in, a movie under our greatest competitor. We've been trying to get in contact with that actress, we've sent out people to offer her the leading role but she declined. The thing is, the one who wrote the novel, is a big fan of that actress and won't sold the rights of adapting her novel into a movie unless it's that specific actress who'll play the role of the lead character. The shareholders has been acting suspicious after your accident, they're already digging a hole to find any fault that they will use against you. I've been trying to look for an alibi, and this task just came at the right time. They're giving it to test you. Therefore; you need to do a good job even though it's an excuse to meet your twin brother.", mahabang kasunod na pagpapaliwanag ni Alfonso.

Sumakit ulo ko doon ah? That's very complicated. How did I managed to come this far, with all these people waiting for me to fall or explode like a ticking bomb. This is suffocating. I lived this kind of life for a long time?

"I see.", tanging naisagot ko sa mahabang impormasyon na pinaalam sa akin ni Alfonso. Ano pa ba ibang masasabi ko? Sasakit lang ulo ko lalo 'pag nagtanong pa ako. The more information I consume, the more I get confuse.

"You don't need to do anything for now, because I'll prepare everything for you. Read what's in the folder thoroughly.", sambit nito.

Hindi ako sumagot at gaya ng sinabi ni Alfonso ay binasa ko ng maigi ang nilalaman nitong folder. But, I can't seem to absorb anything.

Alfonso excused himself after explaining everything to me. I raised my head nang marining ang pagsara ng pintuan. Napatitig ako doon. Sinara ko ang folder, and played with it using my fingers habang nag-iisip.

That's strange. I feel like a puppet right now. Something's not adding up. Is the answer in the Philippines?

Charlotte's POV:

"Devin? Good job today.", an international photographer of a photoshoot I did today. He offered his hand for a handshake, and I took it.

"Thank you, you did great as well. The pictures came out as well.", nakangiti kong handshake sa kanya.
