Chapter 5- My only friend

"Gosh- Jake you scared the life out of me." My face red because of embarrassment and because I had been thinking of the boy from the woods, while Jake teases, "You're awfully red~ you in love or something?" And I instantly turn even redder. "You look like a tomato- actually! Are you ok? Do you need to go to the hospital?"
Huh? Oh, Right. Me, (Y/N), who has never even liked a boy since like ever.

"Yeah. No I'm fine. You just.. uh.. caught me off guard..?"
Oh god.. I'm never gonna hear
the end of this..
Jake looked puzzled for a moment,
Good thing he's so oblivious.
Oh, wait. He realizes what's
Going on now.
"WAIT- FOR REAL? YOU? IN LOVE?
WHO IS IT? WHAT ARE THEY LIKE?
DO THEY TREAT YOU WELL?"
There it is. A pile of questions to avoid. Hooray.
"Calm down.. it's not like he
would ever feel the same."
That though kind of saddening me.

"Can I meet him?"
"NO!"
"I mean.. I'd prefer not."
"What is he like a axe murderer or something?"
Damn you Jake. Yeah, he kinda is,
But I can't tell you that.
"Oh please. Stop joking around.
Let's just go watch a movie or something."

Jake got up and swiftly explained
"I should probably go. It's getting late. I had fun though!"
"Yeah. See ya on the flip side then!"

A few seconds later I hear a scream from the other room and walk in to see..

Jake backed into a corner away from his shoes?
"Ok. Now WHAT was that about."
"There's a HUGE spider in my shoe!"
Oh my god Jake. You had me worried for a second.
I take his shoe and tip it upside down, and sure enough, a spider falls out.
"This tiny thing? Oh please."
I picked it up and brought it
outside and in the grass.
"There we go. All taken care of."
Jake looked shocked about something,

"DID YOU JUST PICK UP THAT SPIDER WITH YOUR BARE HANDS?"
Oh right. I forgot how much he hated spiders.
"It was just a harmless little one. Calm down. Either way, see you tomorrow."

"Yeahh.. See ya."

Damn that took longer than usual. I started at midnight and now it's almost 2AM! Either way, thanks for reading this. You've probably noticed I kind of injected my personality into (Y/N) lol.
Word count for this chapter is 367 without this mini rant or whatever you wanna call it, and with it it's 425.
