Fighting A Lion (as a sweet DUO)

Let's say Diego and Lila are back in Hotel Obsidian.. Fighting a real live lion... Enjoy!

ROAR!

''He's in the dining room, going wild! We have a moment to run!'' Diego whisper-shouted, as though the lion would hear him. He and Lila were hiding behind three mirrors, watching through the reflection as the lion on the loose charged over a glass table. 

They had no idea how it got here, only that this place was wild.

''You are a bloody prick, aren't you? He knows we're in here, he's just waiting for us to make a move since we won't win against him, but otherwise we'd die as cowards!'' Lila said.

''Uh.. W-What if I distract him, and you run back to the identical hotel? We're going to die here anyways.''

Lila stared at him. ''Have you eaten too much bad sushi? I'm not leaving without-''

Before she could finish, the lion ran over to them, roaring, paws ready for attack.

''Why are you still staring at my stupid face? RUN!''

As they sprinted as fast as their legs could carry them, not looking back even as they threw knives at the lion behind them.

''This must be some magical lion- the knives aren't reaching it!'' Diego cried. A small room that could save them was coming into view, now if only they both got to it safely. 

Fueled up with thoughts of his unborn baby, Diego turned back to throw his biggest knife- more like a sword, actually, at the lion.

''TAKE THIS YOU YELLOW IDIOT.''

\Unfortunately, the lion whizzed past at the last second. And aiming at him only slowed Diego down. Lila grabbed his wrists and knocked down a massive, wooden table, just tall enough to block the lion.

They ran to the small room before shutting the door and panting, out of breath.

''YOUR POWERS ARE SO UNCOOL!'' Lila yelled. ''So stupid, the worst to mimic, would you still want to leave me locked up safely? When I just saved your life and thank God too-'' She slapped him out of rage before even finishing. 

Then she tiptoed up and kissed him. ''Glad you're safe.''

Once they were done with that, Diego looked at the only object in the small room in confusion. ''A table of scissors. Why are they in here?''

''No idea, but stop moving for a sec, lover.'' Lila snatched the scissors and began trimming the front of his hair. ''You're looking shaggy, Diego. When's the last time you had a haircut?''

''WHO CARES?''

Lila closed her eyes, even while using scissors and cutting his hair so flawlessly. ''Well, earlier you looked like a..'' Her mind was searching for the perfect word.

''Lion.''

Lila opened her eyes. ''You have a way more beautiful mane than a lion. I was going to say horse-''

''NO, I MEAN THE LION IS LITERALLY HERE AND WE'RE TRAPPED IN THIS SMALL DARN ROOM.''

They were cornered. How the lion made their way to them remained a mystery, but it looked ferocious and very, very angry.

''You don't have any knives with you?''

''I used them all already!''

Lila cursed under her breath. ''Looks like we'll have to use the scissors.''

Diego thought, the table of scissors couldn't possibly kill the lion when he was so close to us right? Wait a minute. He was so close to us!

''Lila, if I don't make it, you know what to tell the little one.'' Diego pushed her aside, scissors in his fists. There was no other way out; this was worth a try. Growling and somewhat amused, the lion charged at him.

Good news and bad news. Good news: when his mouth was open wide, Diego used his powers to shoot the pointiest edge of three pairs of scissors into the lion's throat. The lion tried to roar but only a painful sound came out.

And during this, Lila thought,''Huh. When he looks so angry, he does look like a lion. A hot one.''' Does stabbing a lion repeatedly with scissors count as a date?

But what's the bad news, you may ask? Diego and Lila were all about stabbing, but they didn't think about something else that could kill: the lion's PAWS. Those sharp fingernails. 

The lion managed to scratch Diego's left arm before they both thudded to the ground, moaning in pain.

''DIEGO!''

He was writhing in pain, blood before his eyes.

''No, no, no, NO! FIVE?'' Lila suddenly found Five heading to them, clothes red with blood. ''FIVE! COME HERE QUICK! I NEED YOU TO GO BACK IN TIME BY TWO MINUTES! HURRY!''

Five immediately understood why by the sight of Diego, but he didn't have any energy to. He had been overusing his powers, unless..

''Let's do it together. Come on. We need to save him. Please,''Lila pleaded, in tears. Five grabbed as many scissors as he could, which only meant he was in. 

They joined hands, and as a bright light of blue filled their eyes, slowly they found themselves walking. Very, very slowly, back in time.

Two minutes ago, at least. Huffing, Five slumped on the table of the small room. Diego was taken aback. ''W-What are you doing here? What happened-''

''LION!'' Lila yelled.

Diego seized the lion's throat, Five helped him stab the lion, and Lila took care of the paw problem. She managed to reach the lion's claws before it hit anyone.

''KEEP STABBING HIM, HE'S NOT YET DEAD!''yelled Five. And that was what they did, until a bleeding lion (whose chest wasn't heaving) lay sprawled in front of them.

''W-Where do we put the lion?'' Diego was surprised by the stupid question that slipped out of his mouth.

''This lion looks frozen.. sooo, how about the freezer?'' Lila said. It took him a while to get the joke, Diego couldn't think straight when Lila and his unborn baby had been at stake. He waved his hands and every knife in that hotel flew to him. 

They stopped at his palm, turned backwards, and flew straight into the lion's head. Just in case it wasn't dead yet, and also to show off.

''Now, what were you saying earlier about my powers being uncool?'' Diego whispered softly.

''Only to motivate you.''

Other than Five, Sloane must be nearby, too, because Lila was able to mimic her powers and raised herself into the air, closer to him. He leaned over and gave her a long kiss.

Poor Sloane and Five, who were nearby. They had to watch it all.
