Matt walked into Nick's room after hearing all the commotion, he was surprised when he saw Reyna in the room.

"Reyna?" Matt asked as they both turned towards the opened door.

"Matty B!" Reyna joked as she got up and hugged him. He hugged her back as she let go and sat on the bed once more.

"What are you guys talking about?" Matt asked as he sat next to the girl. Reyna and Nick share knowing looks.

"You guys are making me nervous," Matt said making Nick and Reyna burst out laughing. Suddenly Chris walks in after hearing laughter.

"Why am I never invited to things!" Chris said as he leaned against the door frame.

"I wasn't invited either, and they are being weird," Matt said to Chris as Chris sits down next to Matt.

"Should we tell em?" Reyna teased them. Nick nodded saying. "Yeah I think they are ready," Nick joked back

"ok. But for real now... You guys can't mention this to anyone... It does here," Reyna said looking at Matt and Chris dead in the eyes.

"Now I'm even more scared," Matt said sighing and looking at his friend.

"Do you guys remember Lilah Brown?" Reyna asked as they both nodded.

"I used to have like the biggest crush on her," Chris said as Nick gasped and looked over at Reyna.

"We'll... we kinda sorta dated I guess," Reyna said as Matt's face grew hot.

"What do you mean?" Matt asked feeling like his heart was about to fly off of his chest.

"Sophomore year. We were like dating but in secrete, because she was closeted," Reyna said as Chris and Matt share a look.

"But know she has it on her bio," Reyna said showing them Lilah's Instagram.

"So what happened?" Chris asked as he handed her back the phone.

"Lilah's father caught us," Reyna said as Matt gave her an apologetic look. "Do you remember the day I came here at like 2 in the morning crying?" Reyna asked Matt.

He thought for a bit but then nodded. "That was the day that her dad caught us," Reyna said as Matt's mouth fell open.

"I would have never seen that coming," Chris said looking at Nick.
"And you knew?" Chris said at Nick.

"yes, I was the other homo she could confide in," Nick joked making Reyna laugh.

"So why are you guys freaking out now?" Matt asked nervously at the answer they might give him.

"Lilah commented on her Instagram post," Nick said as Reyna's checks grow red. 
"And this means?" Chris asked sharing a look with Matt.

"Nothing! that's what I'm telling Nick," Reyna said trying to not get her hopes up. 
"You were the one that said--" Nick started but Reyna cut him off

"I am just trying to not get my hopes up," Reyna explained as Matt pressed his lips into a fine line and said. "It's just a comment, it doesn't mean she wants to reconnect with Rey," 

Everybody turned to him surprised by his tone and seriousness.

"Well let's be honest, would you really want to go out with her again?" Matt said turning specifically to Reyna. 

"What do you mean?" Reyna asked as Matt shrugged his shoulders. 

"I mean you guys have a past," Matt simply said as Reyna scoffed a little 

"It's not a bad past,"

"Sounds pretty traumatic to me," Matt said as Nick gasped. Chris looked at Nick with a confused look on his face. None of them knew where this conversation was going, Matt and Reyna had never spoken to each other like that. 

"Our relationship was not a bad one, we literally broke up because her parents are homophobic. Yes, our break up was a little traumatic but it's not Lilah's or mines fault,"

The room stayed quiet. 
"I have to go," Reyna said standing up and heading towards the door but Chris stopped her.

"Reyna, I'm so sorry stay," Chris said as Nick echoed the 'Sorry'

"You guys don't have to say sorry," Reyna said looking at Matt who couldn't even look up from the ground. 

"I had to leave anyways,"  Reyna said as she gave Chris and Nick reassuring smiles. She turned around and left.

"What the fuck was that about?"Chris said turning to his brother who looked ashamed.
"You sounded so insensitive Matt," Nick said sounding sad. 

"I'm so sorry, I don't know... what came over me," Matt said as Chris scoffed
"You were such an asshole! I have never seen you be mean to her... and you better apologize to her. I don't want to lose one of my best friends because you were being an asshole," Chris ranted as Matt's eyes teared up.

"I agree, you have to say sorry," Nick said as both of them left leaving Matt alone.
