The dream

I found myself at the skate park sitting on one of the tables. It was almost night and the sun started to set turning the sky pink and orange. I looked around and there was one other girl standing by a small shed nearby. I couldn't get a good look at her, but she was short and seemed to be waiting for something. She stared off into the distance watching a tall figure walk towards her. I felt an uneasy pit in the bottom of my stomach. As the tall figure walked through a small patch of light I felt my heart shatter and my body go numb. Kye continued to walk towards the short girl. I stare blankly at Kye and the short girl, and when I snapped back and noticed what was going on Kye had the short girl pinned against the wall of the shed. The girls lips pressed firmly against his as his hand wanders up her shirt. I felt like I was going to vomit, a tear slowly streams down my face and I realized I was crying. I finally broke my eyes away from the horrible scene and looked down at the table in front of me. My phone sat in front of me and I read the text displayed on my screen.

Kye- 'I'm sorry, I love you. Meet me at the skate park, please.'

I stare down at the screen then look back at Kye and the short girl as they continue to press lips. I shake uncontrollably as I stand. I slam my fist as hard as I can against the table, I feel a few cracks of pain through my hand. I ignore the pain and turn running as fast as my legs can carry. I have no idea where I plan to go but I find myself running towards the river not far from the skatepark. I reach the rivers edge and look around. I stop my eyes when they reached the tall train bridge. I start to make my way towards the tall bridge replaying that horrible scene over and over agin in my head. As I reach the bridge I stare down into the water rushing over the rocky bottom fifty feet down. "He tricked me, no he lied to me. I should have done this a long time ago. I'm nothing but a burden that gets in everyone's way."

I grip the cold metal railing and look at the light fading in the sky. Tears stream down my face as I climb over the railing. I steady myself on the edge and realize this is what I've wanted for so long, but I've never had the courage to do. I let the breeze finalize my decision. I took a deep breath and I let go of the cold railing, closed my eyes and jumped. As I fell I felt happy and at peace for once. As the air rushed past I accepted my fate. I waited for the impact that was soon to come. I opened my eyes and seen the bottom moments away.

The second my body hit the rocky bottom I jolted and was instantly sitting up-right in my bed. My heart was beating rapidly and my whole body was shaking. I was trying to catch my breath when I felt something small and warm hit my hand. I looked down and seen a tiny puddle on my hand. I reached up to my face and noticed that I was crying uncontrollably. I wiped my face and laid back down, bring my knees up to my chest. I continued to sob into my knees until soon everything went dark.
