Y/n POV
I lied down on my shared bed with my girlfriend and released a long sigh, just then Sadie walked in looking tired after all the filming we did today. She lied next to me and cuddled up to me, I started playing with her hair. We lied there in comfortable silence for a while till I heard soft snores coming from my girlfriend. I smiled at her and kissed her forehead and said, "Goodnight baby" and started to dose off
The next day I woke up will Sadie still sleeping next to me. I reached for my phone and took a photo of us. I watched her face seeing how calm she was and admiring all of her features while playing with her hair with my free hand. She began to wake up and I said "Goodmorning beautiful" she smiled at me and said "Goodmorning Love" she said in a tired voice "how did you sleep last night?" I asked her "Pretty well because of the nice big pillow I have" she said while giggling "Well that's good" I said
I looked over at the alarm clock and saw it was 7:30 am "How about I go make us some breakfast and you get some more sleep, or you can go take a shower and get ready for the day" I said, "I'll go take a shower and you can make us breakfast" she said "Sounds good what do you want?" I asked "um...Pancakes" she said, "Got it bye love you" I said walking out the door "Love you too" Sadie said to me
Time Skip
I was finishing cooking us food then felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. I leaned into her touch, and we sat there for a minute "Your foods going to get cold if we don't eat it" I said "Your right" she said letting go of me and walking over to the pancakes I had just made
Time Skip
After we were finishing are food and I got a text from my mom "Babe your mom is texting you" Saide said handing me my phone. I looked at the messages from my mom and she wanted me to go to the hospital as soon as possible. I didn't want to worry Saide, so I texted my mom back and said 'Why?' I sent 'You father was drinking and driving and got into and accident and the doctors don't know how long he has' she said
"Babe?" I said, "Yeah what's up" she said, "We have to go to the hospital like right now" I said "What why?" she said. I got out of bed and started collecting the dishes and explained to her that my dad was in the hospital, and she agreed to go. After a few minutes we were in the car driving to the hospital. We got there and we walked in I saw my mom and walked over to her "Mom, how's he doing" I said "He's not doing well but he's awake, he wants to see you" she said
I walked into his room with Sadie, and he looked over at us and smiled "Hey Babygirl" he said in a raspy voice "Hey dad how are you feeling?" I asked him "Been better" he said "yep, yep you have" I said "Look I'm sorry I didn't mean to I was just super happy for you and went out by myself and got too drunk and crashed" he said not making eye contact. I reached for his hand and held it and said "No, no it's ok we all make mistakes" I said tearing up. Sadie started rubbing my back and was comforting me.
Sadie POV
I sat next to y/n and comforting her, and her dad spoke again "Sadie?" he said. I looked at him for the first time and said, "Yes?" he looked Y/n and I and said "Take care of Y/n for me please" I smiled and looked him in his eyes tearing up "I will, and I promise that" I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see Y/n mom and she was smiling at me. I smiled back at her and Y/n got up and hugged her dad.
For the next few hours, they all talked about when they were talking about all the memories they had shared over the years. Y/n was laying on me while her dad was talking, and I was holding her and playing with her hair. She had fallen asleep, and her dad noticed "Saide?" he said, I looked up at him and he said "Thank you for taking care of her for us, I know she can be a lot to handle sometimes but I'm glad she found a very lovely and pretty girl like you"
I smiled at him and started to cry "I'm glad that you say that I thought you guys wouldn't want me to take care of her" I said "I feel my time is soon could you wake her up so I can talk to her one last time?" he said "Yeah I can do that for you" I looked at Y/n and started to shake her awake "Y/n, Y/n wake up" she woke up and looked at me "What, what's wrong?" she asked "Y/n" he dad said "Yeah dad?" she asked "I was just talking with Sadie and I have a few things I want to say to you" he said
"Yeah, what's up" she said. He started talk with her and she started to cry "I know you two are living in an apartment, I want you to have the house, your mom and I bought a new one and I want you two to have it" he said finishing his sentence. Y/n looked at him and then at me and beck at him "Really?" I said, "Yes I do and if you ever get married save me a spot" he said smiling "We will dad" she said smiling trying to not cry "I love you Y/n" he said kissing her hand "Rember to take care of your self's and don't come looking for me anytime soon" he said
"I love you dad" Y/n said as his heart began to slow down then stop. Y/n started crying again and hugged me and crying into my chest. I held her as the doctors came in and took him away. I felt bad for her because my dad was still alive and haven't lost a parent. I picked Y/n and walked out into the hallway, and she got down and tried to stop crying.
After a little bit I drove us home and she was stared out the window at the rain poured down. I felt bad for her, but I know she's a fighter "If you ever need me when I'm not home you can always call me you know" I said trying to reassure her "I will" she said "Promise?" I said "Pinky promise" she said. I grabbed her hand and held it until we got back to the house. We walked in an went to the bedroom. Y/n lied down and wanted me to lie with her. We ended up cuddling for a while and then she spoke up "Thank you for choosing me" she said
I looked down at her and spoke "I love you" she looked at me and said "I love you too" as she was leaning up to kiss me. I kissed her back and she pulled away and went back to resting her head on my chest and I started to play with her hair, and she ended up falling asleep.
