"Finally we're here," the blond girl said slamming the car door behind her.She stopped on the grey pavement her blue eyes sparkling in the sunlight. She was looking at the old house they parked in front of. The house was the last on the long street right on the foot of the woods."Do you want to go look around town or unpack and go tommorrow?"Julie's gran asked."Nah i've got all summer to wonder around town by myself since all my friends are back home.So I guess i'd rather stay and unpack,"Julie said miserably.
"Actually... I think you should go and try make some new friends,"Julie's grandad suggested "im sure we can unpack by ourselves".Julie looked at her gran who looked like she'd rather Julie stayed."Ok ...don't worry gran i wont use any magic"Julie said comfortingly.
She took the keys for her car and headed for the town.Ok so what should I do she thought to herself. After going around town not seeing anywhere she'd like to go into, she parked near a old book store .As she headed towards the shop she realised how old it was.It looked like no-one had been in there for ages the windows were covered with dust. Julie took a deep breath before finally entering the shop."Hello...is anybody in"she asked scared to go any closer."Yes," said the old man who just appeared behind the counter."I could swear there was no one there before,"she muttered to her self confused.
"Do you have anything from this century,"Julie asked wondering around the sho plooking at the dust covered books."Well actually since you asked..."the man said walking into the back room "I have a book that I think you might enjoy,"he said handing her a big thick brown heavy leather book."It's a spell book ... like me you're gifted, one of the special ones.I'm sure it will come as much use to you as it did to me,"he said looking at her puzzled face."How did you know...,"she said looking up but the old man had disappeared."Hello...Hello...,"she shouted searching for him in the deserted shop.Soon she realised the man she was looking for was no longer there. So she took the book and left the shop on here way home.
At last Julie parked outside her newhouse still confused about what had happened in the shop. So much unanswered questions were going threw her head. Then she remembered the book he gave her.So she turned and took it from the seat next to her and flicked threw the pages wondering whether or not to tell her grandparents. After a few minutes of reasoning with herself she decided not to say anything. So she got out of the car with the book in her hand heading for the path leading to the bright red door. When she got in she saw dozens of brown boxes in the hallway reminding her of the hours of unpacking ahead of them.
After she had finished she decided to go to sleep.
"What the hell is that,"Julie said after being woken up by an owl outside her window.Suddenly she realised a perfect place to practise in...the woods.
