Chapter 2-Practice In The Woods

I woke up really early this morning so I could sneak out into the woods.So I put on my grey t-shirt,black jeans and my black conversers .I tied my curly strawberry blonde her into a loose ponytail and snuck out the front door with the heavy book in my hand.I ran deep into the woods across the lake until there were no houses in sight. I sat on a big tree stomp and opened the brown book to  pick a spell to do. 

START A FIRE

Just like it said in the book i said "Incendio,"clearly opened my eyes then I saw to my amazment that the stick on the floor in front of me caught on fire so I clicked my fingers and the stick disappeared.After many tries of various different spells I decided to do something more powerful.An energy ball.I closed my eyes shaped my hands into a ball and pushed all my energy into it imagining a ball between my hands . Then I pushed all my energy out and threw it. I quickly opened my eyes hearing a loud noise in front of me. And that's when I saw it.

A big shiny blue rock in front of me."What is that,"I said whispering to myself circling round it."It's an egg..."said the boy behind me"but what kind of egg".I turned around abruptly and saw him. He had a lean muscular body,fair skin,short black hair and perfect pearl white teeth .He stood smiling at me then said "Hi I'm Jake..." and stuck his hand out for me to shake.I hesitated for a minute not sure whether to tell him my real name."Hi...I'm Julie"I said not sure if he saw what I was doing earlier. I completely for got about the energy ball after being distracted I saw the big hole it had made threw one of the trees he was standing in front of.

"If you want I can show my dad. He knows alot about animals he can look at it for you"he said helpfully."No it's fine I'm sure I can figure it out,"I said trying to seem as normal as I could."So ...how come I haven't seen you around before?,"he asked curiously."Actually I just moved to town yesterday,"I said nicely. "Then what school are you gonna be going to," he asked me smiling. "Umm... I think it's called Lake Water High," I said unsure if I got the name right. Then I looked up at him watching his face light up when I said that his white teeth sparkling in the sunlight."I guess we're going to be seeing a lot of each other"he said happily. 

"I guess we are but right now I've gotta go maybe I'll see you around,"I said smiling at him.Then I took my book, the egg and left going towards my house.

When I got home I ran to my blue bedroom and placed the egg slowly on my bed trying to figure out what it could be.After going on Google and searching animal eggs I gave up. Maybe the book has something about the egg I thought to myself. After skimming threw the book I saw a picture of the bright blue egg and on top it said DRAGON EGG.
