Chapter Thirty-Nine - You Didn't Run Baby.

Eddie had left the trailer and grabbed a bike trying to ride as far away as he could from the bats to make more time for the others to finish this "Come get me, you sons of bitches!" Eddie screamed as he rode, Dustin through the mattress and grabbed a chair, he placed it down as April claimed up landing with a hard thud on the trailer floor probably fucking her back up. She stood with a groan as Dustin through her rifle through and then himself. Eddie had made it about 35 meters from the trailer before getting hit down by a bat as the others swarmed him, he tried to run but, of course, the bats were too much he stopped knowing this was probably the end, he thought of everything he had done in the past week and everything he would have done differently. But he stopped, he was a hero. He grabbed his spear and his shield and got ready to fight. Due to April getting through the hole first she ran as fast as she could towards Eddie using her rifle to shoot the remaining bats but her aim was slightly off due to the speed she was running "Baby? Baby? Baby!" She screamed as she got close with Dustin limping behind her. She fell onto the ground next to him pulling him up and into her lap holding his face in her hands as he choked on his own blood "It's okay baby. I've got you" She spoke as her tears ran down her face as if it was a race "Dustin, go, go ring an ambulance. Do fucking something" She screamed at him causing him to turn and run back to the trailer "Oh fuck my love" She whispered holding him close "Oh... Bad huh?" Eddie spoke looking into her eyes, she smiled weakly as she shook her head "No baby, you're gonna be fine. You look sexy like always" She spoke as she cried her voice breaking with every word.

"We need to get you to a hospital baby, Okay?" April whispered softly as she tried to pick him up "Okay" He whispered back his arms drooping her neck "I've got this... I've got this" April whispered to herself, she didn't have this in any sense of the sentence but she had to save him. "I think... I need a second okay?" Eddie spoke as she tried to lift him "No... No you selfish fuck. No second at all. Fuck no" She shouted to him and magically due to her franticness picked him up. "I didn't run away this time, right?" Eddie spoke to her as she tried to carry him the best she could in her arms, bridal style. "No baby, Of course not. You're my hero" April spoke as she sobbed "You didn't run baby. You saved us all... You saved me. I fucked up with Billy, I could have saved him. I can't lose you, I need to save you. i can't let you" April sobbed as she walked nearly gaining much distance but trying her hardest "April... I love you baby" Eddie spoke brushing his hand against her face as she nodded "I love you too my love. We got this." April spoke as she kissed his bloody lips knowing right now, in his moment. she might not save him. This could be the end of everything. She wouldn't be able to live with that. "We are going to have a family baby, we are going to get a house. We could even have chickens. You can teach our kids guitar and how to play d&d" April spoke her words giving her just as much courage as she needed as he got to the trailer door before she began to cough as blood fell from her mouth "You're bleeding sweetheart" Eddie spoke as he brushed her mouth "I'm getting tired April" Eddie spoke his eyes beginning to close "I'm okay, No baby. You can't sleep. You need to stay awake. With me" April robbed as blood dripped from her as she coughed. She swings the door open to the trailer with her back causing her to cough more. "April... Can we leave Hawkins" Eddie mumbled in a tired tone "Of course baby, We just need to get you out of here and we can go anywhere" April replied finally getting to the gate as Dustin stared at her in shock at how such a small and thin woman, who was also coughing up blood had carried Eddie a 5'10 male. Eddies hand fell from her face causing her to drop to the floor in horror as she screamed "Eddie baby no. No Eddie please" She spoke as her tears fell onto his face as she shook his shoulders.

"April, the ambulance is here... I can hear it. We just need him through this hole come on" Dustin cried watching as his best friend was dying in front of him. April nodded wiping the tears and blood from her face as she scooped him up and held him as best as she could on her shoulder but due to her breaking a few ribs it gave her excrusi=hiating pain to do it. She kicked a chair over and ran up it throwing Eddie into the gate, Dustin grabbed his arms pulling him through as April gripped on pulling herself through. She sat on the floor holding Eddie onto her chest and running her fingers through his thick hair "I love you, baby, I've got you. They are here to save you. Eddie" April continued to speak but Eddie had gone. Almost making it to the light as the paramedics rushed in, April kissed Eddie's head as she began to cough causing the paramedic to ring for another Ambulance as they laid April down next to him as they performed CPR on him as she hold his hand "Please save him, Please" She sobbed to herself feeling Dustin come to her side before she saw her world turn dark from the blood on her lungs.
