"Ehrm Karlof it's just some coffee!" Cole smiled. "I mean you look very handsome but it would be very sad if you spilled something on your suit!"

"It okay!" Karlof answered. "Karlof just want to look nice for Cole dad!"

"He'll love you no matter what! Besides, you look good no matter what you wear!"

Karlof blushed and took one last look in the mirror before nodding.

"Karlof ready!"

"Good, the cafe is only a few minutes away if we take our dragons... and after we met my dad you can go back to your own house!"

"O-Oh yeah!"

Karlof hadn't thought about it, but now it just felt... wrong to go back to his house...

"Karlof will miss Cole!"

"I'll miss you too! But I'm just a phone call away remember?"

Karlof smiled and nodded as both masters summoned their dragons.

"So what cafe?"

"It should just down here, oh look!"

They landed and Karlof could see a man standing beside them, smiling.

"Cole, there you are!"

"I'm not often that late dad!" Cole laughed and hugged the man. "Dad, this is my boyfriend, Karlof! Karlof this is my dad, Lou!"

"So nice to finally meet you!" Lou smiled and shook his hand. "Cole has already told me a lot about you and I am so happy he's found someone like you!"

Karlof face reddened and smiled stiffly at Lou.

"T-thanks!" He answered. "Karlof very happy to meet Lou too!"

"Now what do you say we sit down and talk more over some coffee!"

"Cmon babe!" Cole smiled "I'm in the mood for some cake!"

"Of course!" Karlof laughed. "... Karlof will just have some coffee... and maybe small muffin!"

"Don't worry I'll pay for it!" Lou smiled. "Now tell me more about how you've been lately!"

"Oh, it okay, Karlof can pay!" Karlof insisted and pulled out his wallet.

"Nonsense! I was the one who invited you both!"

"But-"

"Its okay Karlof!" Cole smiled and put his hand on his boyfriend's shoulder. "You know we talked about letting others do stuff for you!"

"If Lou sure..." Karlof mumbled when their stuff arrived. "Karlof have money...."

"I know, Cole told me!" Lou answered. "But I have no problem, but I appreciate the generosity!"

"Thanks... Now Karlof would like to know Lou more!"

"Well, I am the leader of a famous band called the royal blacksmiths!"

"Cole told Karlof, and Karlof impressed, does Lou do other sports?"

"Ehrm, no not really! Cole's been teaching me some basic fighting moves but it's just for self defense... I've never been much of a fighter!"

"So, Lou no master?"

"No no! Cole got his powers from his mother!"

"So as you can guess," Cole laughed. "She was the strong one in the family!"

"Now now!" Lou coughed. "Who was the one who always took you to your activities?"

"Dad, standing in your truck-thing with your friends wasn't that fun!"

"That sound nice..." Karlof sighed. "Karlof wish parents took him for stuff!"

"Well, we could do stuff together now if you'd like!" Lou smiled. "What are your interests?"

"Oh, Karlof love cooking!"

"His food is amazing!" Cole grinned.

"That sounds lovely, do you participate in any sports?"

"Well.... Karlof been figure skating for a while..."

"You never told me that!" Cole gasped. "Are you good?"

"Ehrm... it just a hobby!" Karlof blushed. "Karlof do it to relax... sometimes..."

"I'd love to watch you!"

"Me too!" Lou smiled. "Figure skating is a beautiful sport!"

"Karlof not that good..."

"Still, It would be fun too see you!" Cole smiled and gave him a kiss. "And now that your leg has healed nothing's stopping you!"

"E-Ehrm why not finish coffee first?"

"Cole, be nice to. your boyfriend! You said yourself that he's shy!"

"Right, right... sorry!" Cole giggled.

"It okay... Karlof can show Cole if Cole really want!" Karlof blushed. "But Karlof really not that good!"

"I'm sure you'll be great no matter what!"

"Karlof appreciate it Cole... Karlof hope he won't embarrass himself!"

"Nonsense!" Cole answered. "Besides, Kai can't skate for shit!"

"Cole, language!"

"Dad!"

Karlof laughed and looked at his boyfriend lovingly.

"Cole...."

"Yes honey?"

"Karlof just wanna... thank Cole! Karlof never felt more happy!"

"Awh thanks Karlof!" Cole smiled. "I just want you to know that dating you was the best decision I ever made!"

"Karlof feel the same... Karlof never felt so relaxed!"

"Well it's about to get more relaxing!" Cole grinned. "I have a surprise for you-well, my dad and I have a surprise for you!"

"For both of you!" Lou corrected.

"Karlof scared..."

"Don't worry Karlof this is a good surprise!"

"So, I have a big tour coming up!" Lou explained. "And since Cole told me you don't travel that much I'd like to bring you and him along!"

"Really?!" Karlof gasped. "Karlof would love to see Lou dance!"

"It's not just that!" Lou laughed. "In between the shows you and Cole can go explore the city we're currently in, eat at nice restaurants and just overall have a small vacation!"

Karlof bit his lip and looked away, sure he'd been on bed rest for a while but he was still able to work on his computer and he still could see his sister quite often. He knew taking a vacation wouldn't be a problem with his work... he had free time but what if his sister needed him?

"Karlof appreciates offer, but... Karlof don't think there time!"

He felt bad for turning down a generous offer like that but, although his sister said she can make it on her own... what if she got into trouble and needed him? What if something happened and he wasn't there to help? If something happened to his sister-

"Karlof? Karlof you okay?!"

"Wh-what?"

"You zoned out for a moment..." Cole sighed. "Hey... if you don't want to go on this vacation it's fine! I need not make sure no ones dies during the missions anyway but Ehrm..."

"Yes Cole?"

"Look, I know you're not really trained for this, and I know you have stuff to do but.... Would you consider... joining... our team?"
