As i wake up at 7 am its clear how mentally drained i am before reluctantly getting out of bed,trying to not wake anybody in the house as i get my original outfit on and realize i have witches ears due to the new heart as i stare at myself "a witch?....how?" I thought to myself as i get my cat hoodie on and step out the room and walk downstairs to see amity,whos still awake and in her new outfit as i put on my rifleman glove and my ears lower and i feel this and say "wait,everything's changed,we're witches amongst humans and cryptic creatures,very creepy humanoids,from other dimensions and everything,spirits as well as far as i know" as amity nods and says "we should tell your m-" "she already knows,she heard you yelling for me when i had that horrible coughing fit" i reply as i look at my left arm "all because of that potion to save my life,when me and eda,king as well went across the demon realm a storm hit the ship on the trip back before i was knocked out by a piece of coal that was the size of a baseball...next thing i know i was woken up by king and eda after the storm....i remember things as clear as a crystal" i explain as i look at it and i move its fingers via a new and experimental nerve system that allows me to feel the arm move and the pain,if i touch something cold or hot as amity touches it "its cold to the touch,for you it must be the exact same as when you had the arm" she says as i nod as amity drinks even more coffee "how many cups?" I ask as she says "over 5 cups" "you really need to sleep" i say sternly as i hand her a blanket and pillow then sit on the floor and watch the news by myself before camila walks in a minute later "is sh-" i shush her and whisper "she stayed up all night,let her rest" with her nodding as i get up and follow her "it must be weird seeing me like this,first i was a hu-mon,cant even say it right..." "Try saying humanoid" she says as i repeat the word then she says "try saying it without the oid part in it" "human" i say as my ears do a flap type of wiggle as camila says "you can still be a human,just hide your ears,if you want i can take you shopping" with me nodding as gus knocks on the door "hey,the news said something about a coronavirus lockdown,second time this year appar-" "whats coro-" "kinda like a flu mixed with tb i think,it's honestly to me just a flu on steroids,i had it just 4 months ago,right after i rescued vee,its a global pandemic at this point,a black man was killed in Georgia,lets just say it sparked something really bad" camila says as my ears lower from the pure sadness i feel "can i say something,and don't get mad" i say as she nods before i say in my most cynical and depressed monotone voice "its all a bunch of bullshit,just cause somebodies black doesnt mean instantly kill them,or use fireworks like missiles" as camila stares in shock about my tone "what happened in that realm?" "Lets just say i saw the emperors true form,and literally went back in time and caused it,went through his mind and asked amity out" i explain as i grab my phone and start sending the video journals i recorded throughout my journey in the demon realm and walk out the room and to the kitchen and make myself basic breakfast before i eat and think about everything that led up to this point as hunter walks in "first im in the human realm,the next im seeing a human turned otter turned witch turned cynical,dry joking depressed witch" as i laugh sarcastically and put my bowl in the sink and say "only if you knew" as amity wakes up and goes to the bathroom and hugs me as i hug her and says "my sleep schedule is so dang messed up.....like im a owl or something..." As i hand her an energy drink and say "just this once,just to reset your sleep schedule" as she drinks it and says "it tastes like rotten fish and gunk you'd find in a gutter mashed into a bowl of moldy potatos...." As i nod and head up for bed as amity stays up for a night and day as ive been doing mainly training with hunter as he teaches me about environmental things i could use in a fight as he set up various dummies around the entire house as we practice fight and i use the dummies instead of him on the objects as i grab him accidentally before grabbing a set up bottle and hitting his left lower side rib area as he grunts and counters before kicking me off and going to break my wrist as camila says "HUNTER WHAT THE HELL?!" as he looks up and realizes that he acted on reflex,not what he intended as i say "fight tutorials...we were using dummies until by mistake and the pure rage that kicked in grabbed him,that bottle (which was made of glass,gus drank it and hunter asked gus to save anything made of glass he drank or used) and hit his left side on his rib cage,he fought back and went to break my wrist" later after she had me and gus,and amity clean the messes up from the sparring,broken glass, and whatnot as later in the day,at dinner its clear how bad i feel as i hand hunter my cookie who says "why do you give me this?" "I hurt you,and im sorry-" "luz please,i endured pain much worse then that,i was gonna give you my cookie because of how much pain you can endure-" "just shut up and take the cookie" camila says as i hand him my cookie and he takes it reluctantly as i eat my food and heat it up a bit via fire magic and eat the rest of it before going to bed,the air was freezing compared to the day i came back,nearly a week ago as im shivering violently as even amity resorts to just wrapping our blanket around us and snuggling into me as i say "t-thanks am-m-mity...." As she realizes what could be causing my severe hypothermia "how much fire did you use?" "A decent chunk...why?" I say in between shivers before she says "ice trays are empty,so use ice to dull the effect?...i dunno how it works here" "ill do it tomorrow...i wanna sleep tonight..." I say as she shrugs before she shivers and says "your leg is like ice..." "The one part about this that sucks,use to much ice,you overheat,use too much fire you get ice cold...." "Yep..." She says before i fall asleep for the night..........
