"But mom! I hate cotillion! Why can't I just drop it already??"

You complained as you watched your mother grab her purse and keys.

"Because you never know when this could come in handy. A nice man could pop out anytime and invite you to a dance. You wouldn't want to look like a fool would you?"

The woman whom you call mother replied as she made her way to the door, making you groan in annoyance and follow behind her.

You begrudgingly got into the car passenger seat, getting ready to go to rehearsal.

You used to enjoy going to cotillion. That was, until a new boy came in, and became your new dancing partner.

The car stopped in front of the large studio and you just stared out of the window, scrunching your nose in distaste for the place.

With a sigh, you got out of the car so your mom wouldn't have to force you out. She drove off the moment you closed the door and you just sighed again, slowly walking to the entrance of the building.

Opening the door, you immediately spotted your dancing partner leaning against the wall on the other side of the studio.

He looked up from his phone and saw you enter, and both of you sent a scowl to one another. You looked around more and saw a friend of yours from school talking to her dance partner so you made your way over to her.

"Oh Y/N, you're here!"

Chika exclaimed and waved to you. You smiled and waved back.

"Hey-"

"You won't believe this, Ichiro and Aoi finally got together!!"

The girl cut you off and held your shoulders, shaking you back and forth.

You pried her arms off of you and gave her a look of confusion.

"What? Aren't they partners or something?"

You questioned, raising a brow. She nodded vigorously and pointed to the 2 in question that were sitting down and talking.

"Aren't they cute?? It's like something out of a fairytale! No fair ~//"

Chika said as she frowned and pretended to wipe a tear from her cheek. You shook your head at her antics and pinched her cheek.

"More like a cheesy romance manga"

You replied as she pulled on your hand.

"Alright everyone! Let's get started now."

The teacher announced, clapping her hands a few times to get everyone's attention.

"Aw man... Anyway, go to your man Y/N!"

Chika said with a smug look. You gave her a look of disgust.

"Excuse me?"

You asked to which she snickered.

"Hehe.. enemies to lovers..."

She giggled to herself. You smacked the back of her head with a click of your tongue and walked away to go to your dance partner.

You glared at him as he made his way over to you as well.
