Both Scott and Aristos are at the club, at the same time. Just my luck.'FUCK,' I think to myself.
Memories of the affair between Aristos and I come flooding back. I danced for him the other night, but this time both of them are here and if I don't dance for Scott, he will probably be suspicious.
I walk over in Scott's direction, this time I vowed to myself I would never have another affair with Aristos again. I can dance for him, but the moment Scott shows up it has to be all eyes on Scott. Anxiety is welling up in my stomach as I make my way over, the last thing I need right now is for both of them to see me at the same time. Scott looks in my direction as he notices me going towards him, I motion for him to go into the private rooms and I follow slowly afterwards.
"Hey Ty," he smiles a big cheesy grin,
"I was waiting for you all day." I smirk.
He immediately puts a wad of notes in my thong string. I turn around and survey the playlist, beginning to dance to what was originally playing before picking 100 Bad by Tommy Genesis. I slowly sway my hips around in a circle to match the tempo of the beat. I was feeling good, all the anxiety had melted away. Scott follows my every movement with his eyes, I could tell he wanted me and I wanted him too.
"How was your day?" I ask him as I keep moving my body to the beat,
"Y'know Ty I was thinking today, it might not be too bad to visit New Orleans, all I gotta do is sell a few more packs and then we can leave this place for a while," he tells me,
"Packs?" I ask,
"I bundle all my drugs now, after the robbery the other day, I realised it ain't fuckin' worth risking our lives for one drug,"
"You realised that now?" I ask him,
"Look the quicker I sell 'em, the quicker I can get my life back in order," he replies.
I keep dancing for him, hoping that once I've finished, Aristos has left, he notices me trying to catch a glimpse out of the curtain and raises an eyebrow.
"Who are ya lookin' for?" He asks,
"No-one,"
"I can tell ya ain't focused on me,"
"Oddy was in." I tell him.
I've told him, I feel a pit open inside my stomach. I watch his eyes widen with anger, but then they look sullen.
"Why the fuck would you tell me that?" He asks,
"I thought you would want to know, he was in the other night and...today as well," I say,
"Did ya dance for him?" He asks with a grimacing tone,
I could tell the truth, or sugarcoat it, I don't think it would be beneficial to either of us if he knew I spent time with Aristos.
"I didn't dance for him, but I talked to him," I say.
Scott doesn't look too angry, he interrupts my dance by pulling me down next to him, I fall onto the lounge chair.
"What did ya talk about?" He asks,
"He's here to make music, we talked about you, he wants to see you Scott and frankly, I want you two to be on good terms,"
"Ty I already told you, I need to figure out my shit first, what do you think his reaction will be when I say I'm still in the drug game?" He asks,
"You know he's here right now, in another room," I say as I point to the left of me.
Scott looks confused, he pauses for a moment and then gets up from the chair, pushing me aside.
"I'm goin' home," he says.
I watch as he walks past the curtain into the stage room, I follow behind slowly, seeing something in the distance coming towards both of us. I take a second to figure out who it is before I realise Aristos is standing right in front of us. The pit in my stomach opens back up and for a second I feel like turning around and walking back into the dressing room.
Scott turns around to face me, realising he cant leave without making the situation awkward, he's now standing between Aristos and I.
"The fuck do you want?" He asks aggressively,
"A hello would be nice," Aristos chuckles,
Do I leave so they can make amends? Or do I stay and watch? I take a few steps back, close enough so I can still hear them but far enough so I'm not awkwardly standing there.
"Look, I know that you aren't keen on doing this music thing together for now, but," Aristos begins, he claps his hands together once as he talks.
Scott rolls his eyes and starts to turn around as if he's going to walk away.
"Fuck Scott, I want you to talk to me like I'm your cousin!" Aristos shouts, "we're family man, we can't be apart like this forever."
People are starting to gather around now, both the dancers and customers, tension fills the room and it goes quiet like you could hear a pin drop.
Scott turns back to face Aristos, he's thinking of something to say, he looks angry, but his eyes are sullen.
"I'm not sober," he says, "I still deal drugs, I still do drugs, I don't make music anymore."
"I'm not saying you have to come back to make music with me, I just want my cousin back, Scott everyone thinks you're dead." Aristos says, his voice begins to break.
"Do ya not remember fucking my girl?" Scott spits,
I feel like retreating into the dressing room while this blows over. I'm not about to get dragged into drama at work.
Aristos turns around as if to give up, in a split second he flings back around to slap Scott right in the face.
SLAP.
