chapter 2 - we meet again

Kenny was walking back to the car to fill the gas tank. He filled it and when he looked inside it showed that it was a little less than a quarter full. He had no idea how to get to his grandparents house though and he couldn't look because he left his phone on his bed at home. Kenny searched the car and looked  for anything useful he might be able to use. When he was looking in the glove compartment there was a folded up map of their state from one of his aunts trips. She only took this car on one trip because a lot of people tried to steal it. There wasn't really anything else except for envelopes, newspapers, cheap jewelry, and makeup. Kenny started driving off and when he was looking at the map to see where to go he ran something over in the road. He swerved and looked to see what it was. He didn’t see anything there but he did see purple liquid so he knew to get out of that area quickly. But what he didn’t know was that there was a replica holding on under the car. Kenny was coming to a 4 way intersection but all the roads were broken. It looked like they were shattered into pieces and there was what seemed to be a little bit of light coming out of the cracks in the road. Kenny thought his eyes were messing with him because he hadn’t slept in a while. The map showed that Kenny had to just go straight so he went straight. When he got to the cracks it almost felt as if they were moving like waves. Kenny was trying to get to the next road when the cement started breaking and falling into whatever was making the light. Kenny had to get out of there quickly. He started speeding as the road was falling behind him. The car was about to fall through the road so Kenny just quickly turned and went on someone's grass. At the next intersection that Kenny saw, the road stopped falling. He got out of the car and went to see what the light was but he couldn’t see anything except brightness. Kenny was turning around to go back to the car but right when he was turning, the replica got out from under the car and pushed Kenny before he could see the replica. Kenny was falling into the light while screaming thinking he was dying from the heat that this light produced. But it immediately started getting freezing cold out of nowhere. Kenny then landed on the ground and the light went away. It looked like he was on a piece of road but it was big. It looked like it was one of the pieces of road that fell but it seemed as if it grew a ton. Kenny could see other pieces in the distance everywhere. He wondered what was below him in the darkness. But what he wondered even more was how this could have even happened. He didn’t have time to think about that though because he had to figure out a way to get out of here. What was below him seemed to just be a dark abyss but it was darker than dark. Kenny was looking around and when he looked up to his left he saw another piece of the road. He tried jumping to it but then there was a big shake. The darkness from below him was rising quite quickly. He didn't want to know what would happen if it reached him so he started climbing on the floating pieces of road. He was climbing on to the closest pieces to him and he was almost to the top to get out but there was nothing else to jump on to. The darkness below was almost to him but then Kenny saw a metal bar coming out of the cement on the surface so he jumped to it right as the darkness was going to reach him and he grabbed it and climbed out quickly. Once Kenny was out the darkness went back down. Kenny was so shocked and confused. “WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!?!?!” Kenny exclaimed. When Kenny was trying to walk back to the car he was stumbling and when he looked up he saw the replica that pushed him. It was his father. Kenny's mother left him a few years ago because he was an alcoholic and abusive to her and Kenny. Kenny knew it was a replica but it still felt like it was really him. He started running to the car and the replica started chasing him. It got to the car at the same time as Kenny and pulled him away. It started screaming and attacking Kenny almost like he used to when he was still in Kennys life. Kenny quickly grabbed the axe from the passenger seat and swung it right at the replicas face. It didn't die like the other one though. Kenny was confused but before he could do anything the replicas mouth opened wide and it was just a gaping hole on its face. It stood up and grabbed Kenny and lifted him up and pulled him closer to its face. It tried to eat him but Kenny was trying his best to push it away, then Kenny bit its arm making it let go. Kenny ran back to the car but the replica grabbed his feet so Kenny grabbed the backseat of the car and as he was pulling the seat, a little circle eye shadow pallet rolled out from in between the seats and fell on the ground making it open. The replica glanced over at it and immediately screeched in pain and it was shaking. The replicas mouth started to get even wider and a bunch of long thin teeth started to come out of its skin where its lips would be. Its neck was growing really long and the skin on its arms and legs started to detach and fall off to show meat and mussel that was purple and had a soft dark glow, then it grabbed Kenny but he pushed it off before it could get a grip on him and he stumbled to the car and grabbed the axe but then the replica came running behind him but Kenny immediately swung the axe and cut off one of its hands but when its hand fell it was still shaking and trying to move. The replica then grabbed Kenny and it was clearly angry. It bit on his leg and Kenny screamed in pain but then he chopped off the replicas head. Its body was still moving though and then its head started rolling to kenny and it started biting at his leg again. Kenny was feeling a lot of pain but he kicked the head away. But then its body got back on its feet and ran over to Kenny and it started to attack him and it pushed him to the ground. It started running over to where Kenny was pushed over to but as it was about to grab him again he cut off its leg so it couldn't walk. It was still trying to get to Kenny though by using its arms to drag itself but it was slow so Kenny decided to walk over to its head and said “i won't let you torture me again like you already have.” Then he swung the axe and chopped it right in its face and it started screeching and it fell apart and turned to dust just as the replica of his mom did. Kenny wondered what made the replica of his dad transform and realized that it happened right as it looked at itself in the mirror. He also remembered seeing a tall mirror leaning against the wall in the garage that the replica of his mom was in. He realized that it must have looked in the mirror when it went into the garage making it transform. Kenny figured out that when a replica looks at itself in a mirror it goes into its vulnerable state making it so that he can kill them by breaking their face. As he was realizing and putting all of this together he heard a voice behind him. “Kenny?” they said. He turned around and there were 3 people covered in red and purple blood. It was his 3 best friends, Wally, Francine, and Blair.
