Awake (Fusion +Synchro)

Yugo's POV

I opened my eyes finding myself in my garage sprawled out on the ground next to my D-Wheel. I got to a sitting position while holding my head with one hand, "Ugh that was weird..".

I looked around more closely..
"Judging by how you look" he said to his D-Wheel, "this is somewhere before Rin went missing." I stood up dusting my jeans off, atleast my outfit was the same.

'Should I look around more closely to see what day it is..or find Rin?' I thought looking at the ceiling. While thinking, I opted to change out of my oily clothes and into something that I liked more.

I was however interrupted, twice.
The first that got my attention was a beeping from my beloved D-Wheel, the latter from my deck. I decided to check who was calling me first so I went to my duel disk.

"Oh, it's Rin!" I smiled happily before accepting the call.

Rin's face was projected onto the drivers glass, "Yugo where are you? You wanted to come get me 15 minutes ago! I'm still waiting at the old playground.".

Oh, the old playground? If I'm not wrong Yuya once said there was also a playground near..Crow's? place. Maybe it's the same one? Whatever.

"Gomen! I forgot the time..fixing my D-Wheel up a bit! I'm on my way soon!" she gave my a sigh before giving me that accepting look of hers, "Fine, then I'll wait a bit more. But be here soon or else I'm waiting here till its late."

"Hahaha... Got it" I then ended the call. 'Now then,' I turned to my deck. Taking it out of the holster and skimming through it searching for the glow, it was Clear Wing that got my attention!

I took him out of the deck that I then absently put away. As I held him in my hands, he shone and my surroundings became engulfed in a bright white light that made me close my eyes.
"Ugh!"

When it was gone, I slowly moved my hands away to look better.

It was the same space as before.. But there were slight differences. Now it looked like those projections I saw Yuya's dumb rival have in his room. It looked like an image of the four worlds next to each other. I was on one of the spheres, this one a green colour. The synchro dimensions if I had to guess. To my sides were a purple and a..very dark one with red clouds on it?

I went to looked around some more, but something at my side caught my attention. '...'
"AAAAAAAAHH!!!" my eyes were blown wide at what I saw.

[Well I knew something would change but not this... Let's see how the others will handle this.]

Yuri's POV

I blinked my eyes open, my past self had apparently been leaning against a pillar in the courtyard at this time. And I can guess for what seeing what was in front of me. 'Ah, I must've been enjoying myself with one of my hobbies..'

Trainees were dueling against each other before me with the provided academy deck. What I found enjoyable in this pathetic display - ok I'm a bit sadistic still I admit - was watching how the monsters hurt the duelists. One of my favorites was when it was the hunting dogs attack or when their special effect activates.

It must be breaktime for them right now otherwise they'd be in their classrooms or something. I, too, must've been free right now seeing what I wore, which was not my Academia uniform.
'It was a bit uncomfortable from time to time..', well, it didn't matter right now. Atleast I wasn't in the middle of a mission.

Pipi-pipi-pipi!

My eyes lowered as I raised my blinking duel disk to me, 'A call by the professor huh~' I smirked. How I wish I could just tell him I'm from the future.. Or deal with him myself right this very moment!

However..for now it would be best to see what he demands of me at this time, so I can better judge how much I traveled back in time.
Going to the professor's room, where he and Yuya had dueled, I was given an order that made it quite easy for me to gauge the precise time I'm in.

Looking down at me, like I'm a pawn in his hands, he said from his position up at the stairs, "You are finally here, Yuri. I have called you here to inform you of your next target." A display screen popped up behind him; first it showed a destroyed heartland, then he swiped it over to the synchro dimension. 'Hoo~'

"The mission is still the same. As we have already accomplished our main goal in the xyz world, you are to go to the synchro dimension next and get the girl." the screen behind him vanished, "I'm sure you won't keep me waiting too long. Dismissed."

Giving a salute to my chest, I left without ever giving him a reply. I smirked to myself, realizing a small matter. 'Ah. Yuto must be quite angry with my past self I guess. Would he and Yugo meet up in the standard dimension once again if I steal the other girl?'.

Speaking of dimension travel, I got out Starving Venom. I was walking in the hallways, alone. The classroom doors were closed at this point, 'How funny it must be to be them..'. I was already thinking of the possibilities I could access now, what I could change.

"Zarc had said that our dragons could bring us to each others's dimensions now, so should I still use my duel disk or my dragon..?".

As I was contemplating over my options while looking out the window, I heard Starving Venom's poisonous noise from my hands and my vision was swamped by purple. I felt like falling. Then it was gone, but the air felt different.

'...' I blinked.

[Welcome Yuri]
"Zarc? Did you call for me?" I looked around noticing the space. My eyes fell on someone close by, and I must say I didn't hear what Zarc had to say anymore while looking at... Yu..go was it?

I decided to - for peace of mind - take a look at my own self.

...
"Could I have an explanation for this?" I'm not that happy to be the target for an experiment. Looking like a monster at this point, even though I've been called that before, is a part of that.
