Hey guys, I wanted to just write a little introduction about myself and the story! This is my first story ever, so bear with me! I promise as the story continues and gets to the actual plot it will be a lot more enjoyable to read, and there will be spice;) This is very much a hate to love fake/ fake dating trope, and as a reader my self I will without a doubt be including a ton of my favorite tropes. That's all for now, enjoy the story and please feel free to leave positive feedback :)
Amelia
I'm late. Again. I trip on my way out the door trying desperately to beat the early morning traffic. Earlier this year I finally committed to my life long dream and bought a loft building, turning the top into my home and the bottom into a bakery and coffee bookshop. I used my passion for reading, and of course my business degree I earned in college helped a little too.
Last night I had stayed with my best friends AKA my sister Grace and her husband Elias. I had slept through my alarm and now I'm late for my opening shift to my own damn store.
I pull into my parking lot and enjoy the crisp feeling of the cool Chicago air. I moved to Chicago fresh out of college much to my parents dismay. Of course I love my parents, but I needed the space and freedom brought on by living on my own and in my opinion there's no better place to be then in the overcrowded, cold, and cloudy city of Chicago.

The plus of having my little shop BnB which stands for books and baked goods in a city, is that a get a ton of business, but the con is that I'm only 3 hours into my day and I'm already exhausted.
Luckily I've recently hired some local teenagers to work the front, and I've got decent help with my chef though I'm going to need to hire him some help ASAP.
As a hand a young girl her chocolate chip muffin, I hear the bell to the front door ring. I can't help but draw my attention to the 2 tall dark shadows that just walked into my shop. The first one has shaggy dirty blonde hair and a goofy grin, though the one standing next to him is all grumpy seriousness. He's got dark slick back hair and tan skin, my guess he definitely has some Italian roots. Both men are extremely tall, the first one coming in at 6'2 and his moody partner at least 6'4 maybe even 6'5.
I can't say my interest is not peaked as they begin to approach the counter. The grump speaks first,
"Hello sweetie, may I speak with your manager please." He says in a voice as if I'm some teenager girl working her first job. Though despite my annoyance of being talked down to, I do enjoy the sound of his Italian accent.
"Oh, yeah sure right away!" I give him a sickly sweet smile, and walk away four feet before turning back around and approaching the counter. "Hi, how may I help you!" I beam still smiling that overly fake smile.
I couldn't resist being petty, I'm sick and tired of people always assuming that theirs no way I could be independent and have a successful business. It seems my parents always fall into that category. It's not that they don't think I'm independent, but they still see me as a reckless child, even at 22.
His smile drops right away, and I swear I heard the blonde chuckle, "Your the manager, you own this place?" he asks as if almost in disbelief, it pisses me off to no avail.
"Yep the one and only, now if you don't need something you need to step aside you're holding up my line." I look at him as if he's the most boring thing to ever exist.
He smirks as if he finds something funny, and I can't help but appreciate the dimple that pops onto his face with the movement. "I'll get right to it then, you need to stop your costumers from parking in our parking lot." he deadpans. I assume he's talking about his side of the parking lot we share.
