From the darkness, a voice echoed, "Ne, 64 do you promise never to leave me?" A soft hum was heard in response to the question."I-I will...do you promise not to leave me too?" A quiet voice asked nervously. A giggle was heard in response to the question.
"Of course silly, we're meant to be together 64 we'll always be together no matter what." The voice responded to the question seeming to be happy about never separating.
We all know the saying.....nothing ever lasts......
Naomi jumped up from her bed. Her breathing quickened as she looked around the room. She placed a hand on her heart and breathed in and out to calm herself. 'It was a nightmare. Only a nightmare so calm down.' She heard shuffling next to her as she saw Kuro looking at her with sleepy eyes.
Naomi sighed, forcing her body to relax. "Gomen, I must have woken you up. You can go back to sleep if you want," she said. Yawning, Kuro stretched his cat body while tilting his head. He walked over to her laying on her lap and turned his body onto his back.
Wouldn't it be better to look at how cute I am and wipe all your worries away instead of worrying about something like a nightmare?" Kuro asked, his eyes closed. Naomi blinked tilting her head to the side. Her hand slowly lifted up and gently laid on Kuro's stomach, petting him softly. While petting him, she heard Kuro purr, and her eyes slowly softened.
"I'm sorry I woke you up, Kuro. I will make it up to you." Kuro opened one of his eyes and looked off to the side.
"You are such a pain. I'll gladly want some chips and a Nintendo 3DS." Kuro yawned, already tired from talking. Naomi hummed as she nodded her head.
"Alright. I will get that stuff for you so just wait until then," Naomi said and looked up at the ceiling continuing to pet Kuro's stomach.
"So, what did you even dream about anyways? It seemed bad from how much you were squirming." Naomi blinked as she looked down at Kuro shaking her head.
"It's because I didn't take my medicine. I was supposed to take them when it was night however, I was unable to since we were knocked out by something," Naomi said, looking off to the side to avoid his staring.
"Medicine? Why would you need that? Do those nightmares of yours happen often?" Kuro asked, tilting his head to the side.
"Yes, they do happen frequently. I do not know what they mean, but I don't intend to find out. How about you go back to bed? I know you're still tired." Kuro nodded his head as he sighed.
"Man you humans are such a pain," Kuro mumbled curling up into her lap before falling asleep.
Naomi blinked as she looked over at Kuro and sighed softly. 'I usually can't fall back to sleep when this happens. I don't want to wake him up again by moving him. This is too difficult.' While slowly and carefully lay down, she moved Kuro onto her stomach. Naomi froze when she saw Kuro shift. Luckily, he didn't wake up as he continued to sleep away. She closed her eyes and listened to Kuro purr in his sleep.
Hearing those purrs coming from Kuro as she slowly fell asleep, she finally relaxed, letting down her guard for the first time.

Naomi jolted up from her peaceful sleep; water dripping from her face. She wiped the water off of her face, and looked up to see Mahiru with his arms crossed; one of his hands holding a water bottle.
"Come on, Naomi. We have to check on Ryusei!" Naomi blinked tilting her head to the side. She rubbed her head and closed her eyes trying to remember what had happened. Like a smack to the face, her memories started to come in all at once making her wince at the slight pain in her head. Naomi quickly got up as she remembered Ryusei was injured last night.
