Damn it, 2:00am now, I haven't gotten a wink of sleep since seeing Sam.

I had been researching places, such as hotels or motels, to stay near here. He can't just sleep out in the open, but then again he's insane.

My mind is static.

I can't think straight, in fact, I can't think at all.

So hopefully some miracle can occur and I can figure this out.

I looked up "Hotels/Motels near me." In hopes for an answer.

Wait, there it is.

The answer that I was looking for, The Copper Motel, how could I be so stupid? It was only thirty minutes away from the crime scene.

I got into my car and drove to the place, but when I pulled in I realized something.

Dang, I don't know which room he's in.

Well, that doesn't matter. It'll be fine, but somehow my knees got weak.

I got out of my car and walked up to the first door,

*Knock, knock*

And no, I'm not going to say 'open up, police!'

That's dumb.

A women opened up the door, her dark brown hair resting on her shoulders,

"Um, may I help you?"

I eternally face palmed, this would be a long night.

"No, ma'am, sorry, wrong person."

She closed the door, I feel slightly embarrassed. But I'm trying to catch a criminal so whatever, next door.

*5 minutes later*

First row of doors, no luck.

There is a second story though, and I don't see a way up there. Which means, I'll have to climb up there.

While I climbed up, I had a thought.

It must be so weird to see this random 14 year old looking guy climbing up their motel rooms, what if they call the cops on me? What if they do and I get called to check it out?

That made me laugh slightly which almost made me lose my grip on the second floor, okay no more laughing.

The second I got up on the second floor the room closest to me lights lit up.

That could mean something really good or really bad.

I slowly crept up to the door and knocked.

The door opened slowly, why is my heart beating fast?

A blond guy was staring right back at me.

Yup, that was Sam. And wow, putting aside the fact that he's a criminal, he's hot. Like oh my god, lord have mercy on my soul if I start stuttering.

I think he noticed me from earlier, because his first instinct from seeing me was to back up fast.

Guess this is my chance to put him behind bars.

Or to get a boyfriend.

No, what am I thinking? I thought I was straight, my sexuality's a mess right now.

"Sam, you've been charged with the homicide of five people, put your hands where I can see them."

I said as I walked into the room, I was only a feet away from him now, my heart got faster.

"What are you going to do, police boy? Arrest me?"

His voice made my heart flutter.

Stay professional, Cole.

Arrest him already, what are you doing? God, don't just stand there and awkwardly flirt.

"Yeah, I am. That's literally why I said to put your hands up."

One good thing, I haven't stuttered yet.

He wheezed, and then looked me in the eyes.

"Try me, no ones ever been able to catch me before, so forgive me if I'm not the best at this."

You know what, I'm not saying that I'm letting him get away, but maybe I can let this one time slip.

"Whatever, Golbach, you win. You can go this one time, If I ever see you again though, I won't hesitate to lock you behind bars forever."

He smirked which made me blush.

"Is that a challenge? Hah, see you around, police boy."

He calmly walked out of the room, going down a set of stairs I failed to see earlier.

Oh my god, what did I just do?
