First Day

(Poppy's POV)
I wake up still in a bit of pain. At least I slept well last night. I take some more of my pain potion before getting ready in my Hufflepuff robes. I brush out my hair and leave it down for today. I end the look with a simple makeup look. Then I'm off to breakfast. For breakfast I'm having some yogurt and tea. I look to the professors table and see what kind of vibe I get from each one. Dumbledore seems okay he seems kinda funny which is good. McGonagall seems like a sweet woman kinda like how I think mom would be at that age. Flitwick seems nice to. Lockhart seems like he's extremely full of himself. Iv heard some of the girls talking about him they say he's handsome and things of that nature. He honestly looks like he smells like old cheese. I then look at Professor Snape. Snape seems very intimidating but wise. Not to mention he's completely handsome. There's nothing wrong with thinking that I'm 18 besides it's not like he would look at me that way. I look at the others and they seem okay. The only one I know I don't like is Lockhart. Breakfast is done about 15 minutes after I finish my things. My first class of the day is of course fucking Defense Against The Dark Arts. I sigh a bit loudly after reading it. I go to class and sit towards the front. Lockhart goes on talking about all the things he's done. The girls mainly the younger ones are practically drooling. Disgusting honestly to see it. As he's going on he walks around soon he makes direct eye contact with me. "You must be the new pretty 7th year yes?" He says smirking as he puts his hands on the front of my table. My lord he's creepy. I just nod awkwardly. "Well welcome to Hogwarts" he says smirking. I just nod again. Then he goes back to teaching. He releases pixies in the class and they fly everywhere. I panic and hide under my table. Many run out. The pixies pull at my hair and hit one with my text book.
"IMMOBULUS!" I here a girl yell. All of the pixies immediately stop moving. I get out from under the table and see the girl smiling. She looks like a 2nd year. "Are you alright?" She says with a small smile. I just nod. A minute later Lockhart walks out from his office where he was hiding. "I'll clean this up children, class is over but new student please stay a moment" he says smirking. I sigh a bit loudly. Then the others leave. "I don't remember your name beautiful, I'm sure it won't take long for me to remember it though" he says smirking. I try my hardest not to roll my eyes. "So what's your name beautiful?" He says smirking deviously. "Poppy" I say quietly. "A beautiful name for a beautiful woman" he says smiling. I just shrug. He continues to complement me a bit more before finally letting me leave. I practically run from his classroom to potions. "Care to explain where you were?" Snape says looking at me. I grab some spare parchment and right it down. I give it to him and he looks at me puzzled. "Alright take a seat" he says still confused. I sit in my seat but it's a bit hard for me to focus. Everything Lockhart said to me reminded me of Gerard. It's honestly terrifying. I still hurt from that night. I wipe a small tear from my eye and continue listening to Snape.
(Normal POV)
Class continues like normal after Poppy takes her seat. Severus ends up assisting homework for the class. "You must write a half page assignment on any potion you wish, I will be collecting them at the start of class tomorrow" Severus says looking at his class. Everyone starts groaning and complaining except Poppy. Severus notices this and is puzzled. "Stop complaining or it's a full page" he says annoyed. George and Fred Weasley keep complaining and Severus is pissed. "Because the Weasleys seem to not comprehend the words stop complaining you all will do one page now" Severus says glaring. Everyone looks angry to the twins. Soon class ends. "Ms. Archer please wait a a moment" Severus says from his desk. She sighs a bit then walks over to his desk. "You only have to do half a page for the assignment, you were the only one with zero complaints today and I appreciate that" Severus says politely. She thinks for a moment. She just nods politely. "Thank you for being respectful" Severus says trying to get her to speak. "Your welcome" she says in her usual quiet tone. "Your dismissed Ms. Archer" Severus says kindly. She nods then leaves. Poppy gets through the rest of her classes. She goes to her sleeping quarters and puts on comfortable clothes.

Poppy rebrushes out her long red hair then does her makeup so it matches her new outfit.

Poppy is still feeling awful from Lockhart reminding her of Gerard. One of her coping skills is music. She grabs her small muggle music device and headphones before leaving the sleeping quarters. She attempts to find somewhere she is alone. This ends up bringing the girl to the astronomy tower.
