Bully's

It's the next day and Poppy is currently outside. Classes start again in an hour. She's walking minding her own business when a group of girls approach her. A few Slytherins and Ravenclaws. "Well isn't the freak who never speaks" The girl says laughing. Poppy rolls her eyes at the Slytherin. "What you to good for us or something bitch" One of the Ravenclaws adds in. "I um..." Poppy says struggling to come up with something. The Slytherin then punched her directly in the nose so hard she falls to the ground. "I hate these awful mudbloods walking around, they are such scum" The Slytherin says angrily. "Yea and look at her she's such a freak, all she does is do her work silently or read and doesn't speak to anyone like a loser" Pansy Parkinson adds with venom in her voice. "No wonder she has no friends" a Ravenclaw says laughing. Poppy without thinking kicks the girl hard in the shin. The Ravenclaw falls to the ground holding her shin. "You bitch! Get that mudblood!" The girl yells. Poppy goes to run but the Slytherin girl uses her wand to cast the flying charm on Poppy. She has her hanging upside down. "You really thought you could run away little mudblood bitch? Your even more stupid then you look which I don't think was possible" The Slytherin says with a small laugh causing the other girls to laugh too. "Look at you, your fucking pathetic" One says laughing. All of the girls throw painful insults at the girl before hitting her with different spells. This continues until 30 minutes til class. "PUT HER DOWN THIS ISN'T" a deep voice yells. Poppy knew that voice and she was happy. Once Snape is in the girls view they let out a small high pitched scream. "LET.HER.GO.NOW!" He yells angrily. The girl just stops the spell so Poppy falls down hard. "Detention you all with me on the day of the hogsmead trip so you will not be attending, plus 10 points from each girl" Severus says angrily. No one has ever seen Severus this angry in a long time. "Professor please, don't you think that's a bit excessive?" One says nervously. "Oh far from it your lucky I don't have you all expelled, this will also be brought to Dumbledores attention" He says pissed. The girls nod sadly. "Now get out of my sight" he says trying to calm himself. The girls immediately all run off. Severus walks to Poppy and sees she crying on the ground now. "Poppy darling there gone" he says softly. She looks around before painfully getting up. "Thank you" Poppy says through sobs. "Of course darling" he says softly. She continues to sob. "Love do you feel comfortable with coming to my sleeping quarters, I have things to clean you up" He says hopefully. She nods as she keeps crying. Severus has her follow him. They get there and Severus takes her hand gently. "Sit on the bed love I'm going to get a warm wet towel so I can clean your wounds" He says softly. She just nods. Soon Severus is wiping her wounds. "Love it would be easier to clean these wounds honestly if you take a shower" Severus says thinking. "Should I head to my sleeping quarters then?" She says thinking. "If your comfortable with it you can take a shower here then rest until dinner" Severus says nervously and he scratches the back of his neck. "I'd be okay with but what about clothes for after?" She says curiously. "I would give you some of mine for now" He says with a small smile. Severus ends up giving the girl a pair of boxers,a tee shirt and sweat pants. Her shower is rather quick so she's soon dressed in Severus's clothes. Severus gives her a small brush so she can brush out her hair. Severus then patches her up and gives her a pain potion and sleeping potion. "Sleep here peacefully love, don't let anyone no your in here either" Severus says gently running his fingers through her hair. She just nods. Soon she's asleep in Severus's bed while he's teaching classes.
(Time Skip)
Class is now over and it's an hour until dinner. Severus told Dumbledore of Poppy being bullied he took care of the girl. Severus soon heads back to the girl. When he enters the room slowly and quietly he sees the girl in the blankets with a bit of hair covering her face. She looks so peaceful.
(Severus's POV)
I feel such odd feelings for this beautiful girl in front of me. If any other student was being messed with like she was I wouldn't have batted an eye. It's only because it was her that I cared. Poppy is a beautiful young women. Her eyes sparkle brightly even in dim light. Her gorgeous soft red hair frames her face in such a way Iv never seen. The way she blushes deeply when I give her the littlest compliments. Her soft voice she has is the sweetest sound Iv ever heard. Only thing that can compare is her singing. I know I shouldn't feel this way about a student but I can't control these feelings so deep in my heart. The last time Iv ever felt this way towards someone was Lily. I always told myself I would never move on from her. I do believe she will always be in my mind but, Poppy is my current love. If she were to look at me the same way I look at her though I know she wouldn't, I wouldn't get into legal trouble as she is 18. Someone as perfect as Poppy could never have feelings for someone like me. I'm cold and strange, hell students call me a dungeon bat. Poppy is a perfect young women in my eyes. I could never be with someone so lovely. I'm playing with my sleeves and so I'm my thoughts I don't notice she is awake. I only notice when she holds my hand softly. I look into her eyes and give her a small smile. Her small hands fit perfectly in my large ones. "Did you sleep well love?" I say looking into her beautiful eyes. She gives me a small smile. "Yes I did and thank you for everything Severus" Poppy says happily. "Of course love" I say without skipping a beat. She smiles at me again. She yawns a bit again before laying down again this time with her head on my knee. I can't help the smile that come to face at her actions. I look down at the beautiful girl and run my fingers through her hair. She sighs in content at the contact. "I feel bad for taking up all your time and your bed Severus" She says looking up at me again. I was a bit shocked by her words. "Darling don't ever apologize for either of those things, I enjoy having you around" I say while still running my fingers through her hair. She blushes adorably again. "I did a spell on your clothes to clean them after your shower, I recommend you change darling it's almost dinner" I say with some sadness in my voice. She sighs but gets up to my dismay. I give the uniform to her and she goes to change in the bathroom.
(Normal POV)
When she walks out she's holding Severus's clothes. "You can just toss those on the bed" Severus says from his small desk. She does as told happily. Severus then walks over to the girl. "Your clothes are very soft" Poppy says embarrassed. "You like them Huh?" He says smirking. She blushes and nods. Severus walks to the bed and picks up the tee shirt the girl was sleeping in earlier of his. "Here then darling, anytime you need someone or just want to feel the softness you can wear this" Severus says before giving the girl the shirt. Poppy blushes a deep crimson. "When would you want it back?" She says nervously. Severus let's out a small chuckle. He cups her face gently before moving her face to look up at him. "It's yours to keep darling I want you to have some comfort, besides you look adorable in it" He says smirking. The girl is soon as red as her hair. Poppy takes the shirt as Severus releases her face. "Severus can I um..." Poppy says struggling to complete her sentence. "You can ask me anything darling" Severus says giving her a small smile. "Um..can I have a hug.." Poppy says while stuttering a bit. "Of course love" he says smiling. Poppy immediately hugs Severus very tightly after putting the shirt down. Her face is buried into his chest and Severus couldn't be happier. Severus very softly kisses the girls head. Poppy is happy her face is hidden considering now it's bright red. After the two break the hug Severus holds her hand. He rubs small circles into the back of her hand as he looks into her eyes. "Did you think I was going to say no to you about the hug?" Severus Asked curiously. Poppy just nods. "Why would you think this love?" He says a bit concerned. "Um well the last time I asked someone for a hug they not only said no ,but screamed at me violently" Poppy says to Severus in a small face. The fear of saying everything that happened that day scared her to much. "Who was this love" Severus says in a almost broken tone. "My father, we don't get along to well" she says in a whisper. Severus immediately hugs the girl again. This time very tightly even more then before. "You never have to worry about me acting in that manner love, you never even have to ask me for a hug if you want one weather your happy or sad you can just walk up to me" Severus says with so much meaning in his voice. "Thank you" she says softly. "Anything for you love" he says before kissing the top of her head. They stay in that hug for a couple of more moments before breaking it. "As much as I love being here with you in my arms darling we need to head to dinner" Severus says sadly. Poppy hugs him again one more time. "Last one" she whispers. Severus sighs in content as he hugs back. Again Severus kisses her head softly. Severus looks for anyone before gesturing for the girl to exit. Poppy waves with a small smile before practically running to her dormitory. She puts Severus's shirt under her pillow before heading to dinner. Durning dinner she is quiet as usual as she eats. Lockhart was about to head to the staff table when he stops by her table. "Hello Princess, how are you doing Dumbledore informed the staff of the altercation with those other girls" Lockhart says looking at the girl intensely. "I'm fine Professor" she says quietly. He nods with a wink then walks to the staff table. Severus saw the interaction and wasn't to thrilled.
