school is about to start, like literally in 10 minutes, and i literally just started driving. screw this 7:30am 2 hours sleep bullshit, school should start at 9, that'd be better.

5 minutes later we arrive to the school. the drive was terrible enough since i was stressed about being late on the first day but lilac was literally panicking and rocking back and forth the entire time as if she's going through a breakup, maybe she is.

her and i take no time to grab our backpacks a rush into the school, thankfully the halls weren't empty which is a good sign and we actually got our schedules.

"i can't believe we only have 3 classes together. why can't we have all of them together? life would be so much easier if whoever decides this shit would actually realize we need to be together or else i'll die from loneliness" lilac complains, dramatically. at one point in my life i truly thought lilac couldn't get any more dramatic, i was very wrong.

"babe! show me your schedule, i want to see how many classes we have together" cher says, popping up behind me.

"only 2 classes? i expected more, atleast we actually have a couple" she says as she sighs and frowns.

"cher let me see what classes we have together, if we have any" lilac asks, putting her schedule next to cher's.

"2 classes, hey wait us 3 all have a class together! maybe there is hope in the world. i hope violet and tristan share the same class with us too" lilac exclaims as she starts twirling in circles in the middle of the hallway.

"ms. rodriguez stop spinning and get to class" the principal tells her, not missing the chance to glare at me as she walks by. i guess she hasn't gotten over the incident.

"what's her problem?" cher whispers, glancing back at the lady with a disgusted look on her face.

"i guess the she just can't get over how i beat elton's ass that one time" i say as i shrugged it off. i have no desire for either the principal or vice principal to like me so why would i try?

"he had it coming" raven mutters as she walks by, maybe she is truly having her redemption era?

the 3 of us try hiding our laughs from raven's response though in reality we all sound like dying frogs.

a minute later we were all in our assigned 1st period class, which unfortunately we don't have together. i share 2nd, 3rd, and 7th period with lilac and 4th and 7th period with cher. so far i found out i share first period with violet, i also share 3rd and 7th period with her too. i don't know about tristan though.

"hello students, i hope you enjoy english with me this year. as you can see we have gotten several new students this year so i hope you all welcome them. for now though i'd like to introduce you to the basics of this school year and rules" the teacher says, she's fairly young, maybe in her mid to late 20s. she seems nice. i hope she isn't one of those teachers who favor the sporty boys; i don't want another mrs. meyer, i couldn't stand her!

it's 7th period, the last class of the day. i found out i share 5th and 7th period with tristan, i kinda feel bad for our 7th period teacher. i also share 6th period with dionne and no classes with tai.

school's out in 15 minutes and i'm praying time starts speeding up because once it's over lilac, violet, tristan and i are all going to hang out at a diner not to far from here.

"you 5," our teachers pauses, pointing at cher, lilac, tristan, violet and i. "if i catch you guys passing one more note or chitter chattering one more time, i'm seperating you kids. i do not tolerate students not paying attention in my class!" says mrs. stevens, she's atleast 70 years old and wears bright red obnoxious lipstick and wears even more obnoxious old lady perfume. i don't know how she managed to get herself a husband.

"do you understand?" she yells, making practically the entire class jump. "yes mrs. stevens" the 5 of us stutter out, she's terrifying.

10 minutes go by and the bell rings, we all pick up our stuff and head to our lockers before heading out to the parking lot. i'll be driving us so we all agreed to meet up at my car, i already see lilac.

i unlock my car and put my backup in the trunk before heading to the drivers side and getting in, lilac following suit.

"what's taking them so long?" lilac complains after a few minutes, groaning as she ducked into the seat.

"they're probably just running a bit late, they're lockers are pretty far from the classroom y'know" i tell her, i love her but she's the most impatient person i've ever met.

"oh there they are!" lilac says, jumping up and opening the window, waving her arms out the window.

"quit doing that! i don't want you hitting the car next to us by accident" i warn her, grabbing her shoulder to get her back into her seat properly.

"i need to make sure those two know where your car is, those two have the shittiest eyesight ever and yet they refuse to wear glasses"

"well i don't want to look like a nerd" tristan says, getting into the backseat as he sets his bag down on the floor.

"don't stereotype nerds! y'know my cousin cindy wears glasses and she's the dumbest un-nerdiest person you'll ever meet" violet replies, rolling her eyes at tristan as she sets her bag on the floor.

"for the love of god you two just wear contacts, nobody will even notice" i say.

"my dad doesn't believe in bad eyesight and my mom won't disagree with him so where am i even gonna get contacts?" tristan asks, brushing his hair out of his face.

"maybe i can convince my mom to buy you some?" i consider, turning around to look at him.

"how will she even figure out how to get me the right prescription" he asks, tilting his head to the side in confusion, a habit he has.

"we convince your parents to let you go to an eye doctor?" lilac considers.

"my dad is way to stubborn and like i said, my mom listens to whatever my dad says" he replies, shrugging.

"y'know, my little sister is really good at doing puppy eyes.."
