"Remember the girl we were eyeing on? She's dead. The murderer ran away after killing his girlfriend. " the caller spoke.
Nayeon's voice came through the line, her words laced with a sense of determination ."I don't think that the killer is her boyfriend. I did some research on this case. It looks like he got scared & ran away. That day, he was on a business trip. Since we were keeping an eye on her , I checked out profiles of everyone she used to hang out."
"Then what do you think? Who is the killer? That girl didn't have a lot of friends to hang out. The killer is someone who is close with her. " asked the unknown voice.
"It must be someone who lives very near to the victim. Because she lived in a rented house. The house owner doesn't allow anyone to come after 10 PM & she was killed nearly at 12 AM! "
After halting a bit the unknown voice replies "so you mean....."
"Exactly! The killer is definitely someone from the same building. It's someone whom she'll easily let in her room." said Nayeon.
The unknown voice, a seasoned investigator from the crime branch, is thoroughly impressed by Nayeon's skills. "Great job! Keep digging into this case and catch that real murderer soon! I'll even assign you a few more cases to solve."
"I'll sir!! Have I ever disappointed you in these 3 years of being a detective? " Nayeon asked proudly.
"I know. That's why I trust you the most."
"Thanks for the trust . I'll solve it soon as possible. But we have to keep an eye on victim's boyfriend too . We can't spare anyone."
"Alright . I'll inform our other team members ." said the investigator.
