Back to normal, maybe?

Vale pov:
You know when your life turns upside down for a while and then switches back to normal... well that just happened to me.

My mom came back into town, I spent the next month home or around the town looking for new books. I hadn't spoke to eros much, he was always at soccer practice, and Matteo was always out with his friends. I didn't mind it to be honest, school was around the corner and I didn't need anything to distract me.

It was august 23 and school started first day of September. One more week and maybe things would be back to normal. I still didn't know what me and eros were, we had only linked once and it's not like he admitted any feelings.

Then there was Matteo, he still lived with me but those few weeks we spent together didn't build a big bond between us I guess. He spend nights at party's and eats and sleeps during the day.

Present day - august 30th

Lucia wanted to go shopping at the mall for a birthday outfit. My birthday outfit to be specific. She always wanted to get me dressed up , she refused to let me live my life with baggy skater clothes... even tho they are comfortable as fuck.

I checked my phone to see if I had gotten any texts, even though I wasn't scared of the anonymous text I got it still kinda shocked me. Why was someone trying to fuck with me even though I have done nothing? Whatever I just had to ignore it, I could be dealing with worse at the moment.

As lucia took me into h&m I saw the finest pair of denim shorts, and a cute top which was also my favorite color( yellow ofc). It was a sun with some graffiti writing on the back.

" Valeria, what did I tell you? We are shopping for cute outfits! We only have 2 1/2 days until your birthday!!!" She said putting the shirt and jeans down.

" I'm going to buy this luci, but yes we can get many more dresses." I said putting the outfit back in the shopping bag.

We spent hours on hours of shopping, in conclusion we found several crop tops sundresses and tight skirts that we bought.
Me and lucia had decided to go home and settle for the day, it kind of bummed me on how none of the boys had texted me. I was happy luci and me got to hangout again... she said her and Austin were getting pretty serious. And she had been hanging around him mostly, but she missed us hanging out.

6:50pm

Luci had to go home, her step dad had come home a little to rowdy and her mom needed help with her little siblings.

I love lucias mom, she always said if I ever needed anything I could always stay with her. And it was true, when me and ma didn't have much left she let us in until we had enough money. She's a real one , just like luci.

Around 7:30 matteo came home, drunk off his ass might I add. He had parked his car midway in the driveway and his clothes were all dirty with blood, his face was pretty busted and yet he was still giggling like a drunk idiot.

"VALLEEE BABYYYY!!" He said opening his arms to hug me.
" matteo, the hell happened to ur shirt?" I said trying not get bear hugged by a 6,5 statue.
" well I- I got into a fight with some guy at a party, Veronica started saying bad stuff about you and when I tried defending youuuu... he trailed off into the kitchen still talking.

I didn't need to know what else he was saying because I could fill in the blanks. He had gotten beaten up by a guy with Veronica, and since I wasn't so welcome in her ways. Matteo got beat up for it. Which was crazy actually because Matteo was pretty big for a 17 year old, eros too. It's kinda like they were made it labs.
I follow After Matteo into the kitchen. He was sulking on the counter, looking at me with his puppy eyes.

"Matteo u need to get changed and sleep." I said sitting next to him at the counter.
" but vale, you don't like me. I cant sleep knowing the girl I like sleeps right across the hall."

" well how about this, if eros and me don't work out I might just give u a chance." I said jokingly
Me and eros weren't even speaking at the moment. He asked me to be his girlfriend but I hadn't gotten a text or anything.

" good because today he was macking on some other girls face today. He's such a player. I would do that to you vale " he said tearing up

" okayyyy I think we should get you to bed! Come on I'll take you up." I said slowly helping him balance himself

Getting him upstairs was work, this boy had almost made us fall if I wasn't holding on to the handle leading up the stairs. After putting him in his temporary bed, it took almost and hour to get him to bed... i really needed to do sports again. After a while I realized what he had said, so I ran to my room grabbing my phone immediately texting eros.

I didn't know how to feel, maybe I had ended something that never started. He never texted me back.i just laid in my bed wondering if everything was true, and why would he do this to me? I just had to get over it , my birthday was coming up and I didn't want anyone to bother me, even if it was on a school day.

TIME SKIP... FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
I knew school wasn't going to be any different but damn, people change really fast. I couldn't even recognize some of my classmates. It's like now that we were juniors everyone evolved... like fucking Pokémon.

( ok ok sorry for that joke... my brother has an obsession with Pokémon, I had too.)-ALi

Seniors were the same, I hadn't seen eros around and I wasn't planning on it either. He had never texted me again. Never tried to explain himself or even say happy birthday to me.

It was alright tho because I had gotten closer to Matteo, he spent almost every day with me. Always saying how I could do way better then eros, he was also kind of right. I never needed a guy before so why should I want one now.

All I need to do is get through this year without causing problems and catching attention like last summers events. Even lucia agreed she said that all the stress was going to give me wrinkles, and god knows I already had worry lines.

Taken from my thoughts the first bell rang and then I was On my way to first period I was going a bit to fast i guess. And my books flew from out my grip and I landed sitting on the hallway floor,

I looked up from behind my wavy curls and there he was smirking at me with those greenish eyes. Holy fuck I missed them.

" hello Valeria, long time no see.?" He said holding his hand to meet me .

I already knew this school year was going to be rough.
