The grub-sitting duty was considered the worst job to do, since it meant dealing with the ungodly annoying grubs, who, although cute, could give anyone a migraine.
Therefore, even Nepeta didn't purr-fur Karkat asking her to do it. It might of been less bothersome, purr-haps, if she wasn't in the middle of revising her shipping chart. But, she had too. Kar-kitty was counting on her, and Eridan, who was grub-sitting, could do something dangerous.
So, Nepeta agreed. She went to place where the grubs were staying, and waited for Eridan to arrive. She admittedly didn't get much time to Eridan, but she heard that he wasn't the nicest troll around.
"So, wwhat did you wwant to tell me?" Eridan asked , and Nepeta practically jumped up. He must've had somehow sneaked past her cat-like reflexes, which was hard to imagine, since her reflexes were almost purr-fect.
It was then that she realized; she really even looked at Eridan, which an thought to have the cat drag in. So, she looked at him carefurry, in case his appearance could effect her shipping chart.
He had black hair that was a touch too stylized (hairspray?), and a violet streak in his hair. His skin had a few freckles on his face, and cute little fins. His horns were shaped like lightning bolts, which reminded me of that one novel, Hahrie Pohtar and the something-something. His outfit only enforced this com-purr-ison.
"I knoww you landwwellers don't have motherglubbin manners, but you could at least be f#%^in decent enough to answwer me." Eridan said, glaring. Nepeta frowned, tilting her head slightly.
"There's no "r33l" reason fur you to be so mean, Eridan." Nepeta slightly winked, as she noticed that Feferi was hanging out with Eridan. Her NOTP! She scooped Feferi up, and put her next to Sollux.
"Wwhat in the name of Condesce are you doing?"
"Stopping my NOTP from becoming canon."
"NOTP?"
"The worst ships ever!"
"I don't understand howw me and Fef are boats." He said it so dryly, so unsarcastically that Nepeta burst into laughter.
"That- That..." Nepeta snorted, but then managed to stop laughing. "You s33, ships aren't boats. They pairings, couples, like Aradia and Sol--"
"Don't you dare mention that landwwellin gutter blood." He snapped, more defensive than a giant turtle lusus.
Then Nepeta noticed something. "Eridan," she grinned. "Look."
A certain little olive blooded grub was perched on Eridan's shoulder. "Wwhy. Wwhy."
Nepeta decided to add another ship on her shipping list that night; Catfish-shipping!
((Sorry for it being so short. I didn't have many ideas fur- for this chapter, besides it taking place in Nepeta's perspective. Anyway, if you have any pairings you want to see for a chapter, I'm all ears!))
