The One and Only(a Nash Grier fanfic)

Chapter 1

•Chelsea's POV•

I walked up into my room with tears pouring from my eyes.
Why.
That's all that ran through my mind.
Why.
Out of all the people in the school, why am I the one who has to have the stupid nicknames, and the one bullied every single day.
My nickname for Alicia, Morgan and all their friends was shrimp. Most people think it's a good nickname to have, but they don't know the story behind it.
Back in first grade, I was basically the shortest person in my grade. Alicia, the worst bully of them all would have her other friends like Morgan pick me up then throw me on the ground at recess and yell,
"Shrimp!"
I hated it. all I wanted to do was move away, and forget about everyone. I instantly turned to my one and only friend, Meagan.
I took my phone out of my backpack and dialed her number.
"Hey Meagan, can you come over?" I asked holding back the tears.
"Yeah of course, is everything okay?"
"Uh yeah kinda."
"Alright. I'll be over in 5 minutes."
Meagan only lives a few streets away from me. She could basically walk if she wanted to.
Meagan and I have been best friends for a few years now and have grown very close. My parents call her their daughter and she calls them her parents. When she comes over she doesn't knock, she just walks in like its her own house. She's my unbiological sister, and I'm so grateful for her.
I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and someone walk into my room. I'm guessing it's Meagan so I didn't bother turning around.
"Hey so what's going on?" Meagan asked walking up to me.
"Everything. I'm just so tired of Alicia and them. They have torn my life apart bit by bit and I just want to be happy again." I said sobbing.
"Awe Chelsea. Don't listen to them. You are so much more than what they say you are." She said.
"Thanks. I just want to run away and never look back." I said.
"I'm going with you then." She said.
I just looked down.
"So another note, what do you want for your birthday?" Meagan asked.
"For Alicia and them to leave me alone."
"Something I can buy and give you." She said.
I looked back up at Meagan.
"Hmm, I would love to get magcon tickets, but they're probably super expensive. I don't really know actually. Surprise me." I said.
(A/N: When I say magcon, I'm talking about the old magcon.)
"Magcon would be so fun. But yeah they're probably too expensive. I'll think of something for you. Do you wanna go for frozen yogurt?" She asked.
"Yeah frozen yogurt sounds great."
We hopped into Meagan's car and drove about 20 minutes to Tutti Fruity.
I got cake batter yogurt and just put chocolate sprinkles on top. Meagan got cookies and cream yogurt and put crushed Oreos on top along with chocolate sprinkles.
We sat down at a table for two and just talked.
We mainly talked about how amazing it would be to buy meet and greets for magcon. Nash Grier is my absolute favorite, and Shawn Mendes is Meagan's favorite.
"What's your favorite thing about Nash?" Meagan asked me.
"His eyes! What's your favorite thing about Shawn?" I asked.
"His voice, his personality, his hair, everything basically." She said.
"Do you think Shawn will get a record deal someday?" I asked while scooping up my yogurt.
"Of course."
"Me too. So my birthday is in two days and I still don't know what I should do." I said.
"How about we just hang out at your house. I'll get a cake and everything." She said.
"Okay sounds good. "

When we finished our frozen yogurts, we got up and threw them in the trash and walked back to the car. Meagan always knows how to cheer me up.

-Two days later
-April 2nd
"CHELSEA, WAKE UP!" My little brother Chris yelled.
"Why. It's like 8:30 in the morning." I said groaning.
"Because it's your birthday! Mom told me to come wake you up because she invited Meagan over to go to breakfast." He said.
"Oh yeah, it's my birthday." I said rolling over to grab my phone. I took it out of the charger and climbed out of bed.
I followed Chris downstairs where my parents and Meagan were sitting. They all got up to greet me.
"Happy birthday Chelsea!" Everyone yelled. Meagan walked up to me and hugged me.
"Thanks." I said smiling.
"So here's the plan, all of us are going to go to breakfast, anywhere you want." My mom said.
"Okay sounds good." I said.
"But first, I want to give your gift." She said smiling.
She ran up to her room and grabbed the gift then quickly walked back downstairs.
"Here. I'm sure you'll like it."
My mom and dad got out their phones and starting video taping. I could only imagine what's in this box.
I unwrapped the pink and black striped wrapping paper and started opening the box. I slowly took out the tissue paper and pulled out the little slips of paper in it. I turned them around and tears hit my eyes very fast. I started screaming and my brother and Meagan wondered why.
"MEAGAN SHE GOT MAGCON MEET AND GREETS!" I yelled.
"WHAT!" She said screaming back.
She ran up to me hugged me. We continued to scream and jump up and down like 4 year olds. We were both crying.
"Thank you so much mom and dad." I said wiping my tears.
"Chelsea, we are meeting magcon. Like Nash and Shawn and Cam and Matt and everyone. Oh my god this is the best day of my life." Meagan said.
"I know!"
"When is the event?" Meagan asked looking at the tickets.
"April 6th, so next week."
"Oh my god I'm so excited. That day can't come any sooner." Meagan said.
"This day doesn't even have to continue, I already know it's going to be the best birthday ever." I said still crying.
"It's your 17th birthday, I know you've been going through a lot lately, I figured you needed a little break from everything." My mom said.
"Thank you so much mom." I said hugging her.
Today is the first day I have woken up not feeling depressed. Maybe this is the beginning of a new feeling.
