2.2 Girlfriends

Lala couldn't sleep.

No amount of tossing and turning made a difference.
She tried white noise.
She tried sleepy time tea.
She tried everything!
But nothing is going to work.

It was cold and she was all alone. She can cry if she's quiet though. If no one can hear, no one can get mad.

She sobbed a little; She didn't want to be alone anymore.

She wished she had someone who would cuddle her and keep her safe from monsters.

Lala sniffed and tears fell from her eyes until suddenly she looked up and saw her flag that was on the wall, it reminded her of where she was.

This isn't home, this is school! She had girlfriends who loved her here! This is great! Cuz' now she can just call Mommy! Or Mermie, or Maymay!

They'll protect her, they love her!

She picks up her phone. They did say she can call anytime, so of course they won't mind if she did...

Right?

3:00 am.

That's late.

Or early she supposed.

What was it Mommy said she was going to do tomorrow? It sounded important.

Lala whined. She doesn't want to be all alone but she also didn't want to bother any of her caregivers.

Technically she could walk to maymay's dorm. She wouldn't mind.

But that's far, and cold too.

Hmm.

This was a hard decision for a little one to have, but she needed to- otherwise she'll just be alone.

Luna : Lala, are you little, baby?

Lala: Sowy

Alex: No biggie, baby. We're on our way!

Lala smiled and settled back into bed.

"Lala!" She heard Stephanie call. "I'm here baby. Are you okay?"

"Maymay?" Lala asked. "Dat' chu?"

"It's me, angel face." She says as he walked into lala's room and crawled into bed with her.

"Maymay." Lala smiled happy while hugging her fluffy pink girlfriend.

"What happened baby girl?" She asked.

"Can't sleep." She mumbled. "I sowy."

"Aww, you poor baby. It's okay, I was already awake. What do you need? What will help you sleep?"

Lala hugged Stephanie tighter. "Jus' you is good."

Stephanie laughed. "Oh yeah?"

"I needs love." Lala says. "M' all lone."

Stephanie cooes and pats the Little's head. "Well," she smiles. "You're not alone anymore. I got you baby."

Luna and Alex stared at them as they appeared at the door.

"Well, this is just too precious." Luna says.

"Room for two more?" Alex asks.

Lala gasps. "Mermie! Mommy!"

Stephanie laughed. "Please, join us!"

Luna and Alex both hug the little who was making adorable little grabby hands at the two.

"I sowy!"she said. "I wokey you up."

"That's alright, pumpkin." Luna said.

"It's our job to be here for you, silly. And we love it more than anything." Alex reassured.

Luna joined the two girls in bed. She sat on the other side of Lala so she could pet her head gently to send her good vibes and good dreams.

Stephanie smiled held Lala's hand tight. She wanted her baby to know she's not going anywhere and she's not alone.

Alex slept at the end of the bed with a fluffy blanket covering her; Promising she'll keep her little one safe from any monster that may try to show up.

Lala snuggled up to Stephanie and leaned into Luna's touch.

She smiled at Alex and finally she was able to get some sleep.
