!TW! WANTING TO DIE/SUICIDAL THOUGHTS!

"I found it!" Erica yells bringing it out to them including max's headphones, "Shit!" she yells upon seeing Steve in the air.

"How are we supposed to get the headphones on him if he's all the way up there!?" Lucas exclaims.

"give me them! I'll use the RV and try to get them on his head!" Eddie says taking the headphones and song going into the RV and climbing onto the top. Standing on top Eddie gets the song and headphones ready, though Steve wasn't far away from the RV he's higher than is but jump length away, Eddie jumps placing the headphones onto Steve but falling towards the floor getting caught by everyone. The headphones are on but one of Steve's arm breaks the others gasp Dustin and Eddie holding onto each other hoping he gets out but not so sure he does anymore.

Steve looks up and sees the light far away from where he's at, distorted Eddie seeing the light and turning back into Vecna which snaps Steve back to reality especially after hearing his friends yelling, he bites onto a vine which makes Vecna wince in pain and let go of Steve who falls to the floor but gets up quickly and starts to run but Vecna turns back to into distorted Eddie.

"oh Steve, you think you can escape me? i'm you're feelings i'm only telling the truth," distorted Eddie says sounding composed and calm making Steve believe it.

"I know, catch me later.." Steve says hesitantly before running more and getting out of Vecnas curse.

Steve falls to the ground screaming in pain and sobbing with his friends coming to hug him especially Eddie and Dustin.

"Steve! you're arm it's broken! come on i'll fix it," Max says grabbing him by his other arm bringing him into the RV followed by Eddie Dustin and Lucas, "i need a stick and some bandages," Max says as Dustin and Lucas go to get them, Eddie staying by Steve's side.

"Max, you shouldn't be the bait for Vecna, or won't work," Steve says confusing Max and Eddie.

"what? why not?" Max asks confused and Eddie holding Steve's hand now.

"Ed- Vecna, he said he would come after me again so he'll most likely ignore you and come after me," Steve says as Eddie squishes Steve's hand harder while Dustin and Lucas come back with the things Max needed.

"WHAT!?" Eddie exclaims, "NONO! YOU CAN'T!" Eddie yells confusing everyone making their friends outside the RV come in.

"what happened!?" Nancy asks concerned because of the yelling.

"Steve wants to be the bait instead of me!" Max exclaims as she tends to Steve's broken arm.

"WHAT!?" Dustin exclaims along with everyone else yet he was the loudest.

"you can't do that Steve! i can't loose you!" Dustin yells tears steaming down his cheeks.

"Dustin.." Steve says softly bringing his non-broken arm up to caress Dustin's cheek, he smiles and continues, "i know you want me safe but if we don't plan me as the bait the whole plan will go south, he's going to come after me no matter what," Steve finish's his hand going to caress Eddie's cheek more romantically for Eddie than loving mother it was for Dustin.

"Fine, we'll let him take Max's place but we'll have to change up the groups," Nancy says as she sits down, "it'll be Lucas and Erica distracting the demo-bats and Eddie and Dustin with Steve Max with me and Robin any changes?" Nancy asks after stating all the new groups.

"no i think we're all fine with it," Max says then looks to Steve, "Steve we need to talk if you'll be Vecna's bait," Max states and Steve nods in response.

"ok let's go everybody we gotta finish getting ready," Nancy says walking out of the RV.

"Ok Steve, you need happy memories to get you out and away from Vecna, then once Vecna is gone you'll be out and if your not then Eddie will put the headphones on you alright?" Max explains to Steve who's not looking back at her.

"yeah yeah i understand," Steve says still looking away as he replays what happened when he was cursed in his head mostly Eddie's part but still all of it.

"Steve." Max says in a serious tone, "what happened while you were cursed?" Max asks keeping the serious tone letting a small amount of concern slip in.

"oh.. uh nothing just vecna showing up," Steve lies his leg starting to bounce nervously.

"Steve Vecna gives you a vision before killing you, is that what's troubling you?" Max asks more concern in her tone this time, Steve knew he couldn't lie about what happened to someone who was already cursed so he sighs.

"he showed me a vision yeah but it wasn't that bad i swear," Steve tried lying again voice slightly breaking thinking more and more about the vision he had.

"You don't have to talk about it Steve but just know i might understand it," Max says as she stands up and walks out. Steve's leg still bouncing itself a few tears coming down his face, god he really didn't want to be there anymore. Steve leans his back against the wall of the RV facing the door and his side against the back of the sofa type chair he was sitting in. He thinks back and lets his mind wonder closing his eyes, he gets to when he was younger more in his middle school and freshman years, he wasn't the most wanting to leave type of guy but in those years he definitely was. His Middle school Freshman years he had bad depression though kept up a good act, that was the only times he really felt like he wanted to leave.
