"Y/N GET UP RIGHT NOW! I NEED YOU TO GO TO THE STORE!"

I heard my dad yell from down stairs. Guess it's time to get ready. I quickly got dressed. I put on a  white shirt sleeved shirt with blue jeans and purple high top converse. I looked in my mirror that I put up yesterday. Damn these pants look tight as hell on me. I decided that leaving my dad to wait for me was a bad idea, so I ran downstairs.

"Yes father what did you need me to buy?" I asked him. He was in the kitchen reading the newspaper.

"Took you long enough. I need you to buy groceries. I have a list of what you need to buy." He looked up at me and slid a paper across the table. I picked it up.

Eggs, milk, and other basic needs. I nodded at him.

"I don't care what time you come back. You're best off getting out of my life if anything. Just don't be out until 10:00pm." He said blankly while still reading the newspaper.

I looked at him. A little hurt was in my eyes but he usually says things like that to me. I'm used to it by now but it still hurts.

I left the house and started walking down the street. I'm so glad it's summer. I just don't want to deal with high school right now. That's the last thing I need to worry about. I was too caught up in my thoughts to realize that there was a car driving slowly next to me. I was zoned out until I heard someone.

"Hey hottie where you off to?"

I looked over to see a nice blue car and 4 boys sitting in it. The one who said it had long dark brown hair. I rolled my eyes and kept walking. That was until I heard it again.

"Hey! I was talking to you!"

I turned my head around quickly.

"Can I help you with something" my tone sounded annoyed.

"Damn don't have to say it like that sweetie." A different voice said.

I was getting really pissed off. I had to hold in my anger issues. I looked at the long haired boy dead in the eye.

"Is. There. A. Problem?" My patience was running out. If they are just going to cat call me then I'm just walking away. Come to think of it why am I still talking to them. I felt like I was being lured into a trap.

"The problem here is your attitude." The long haired boy said. He looked at me and had a smirk on his face. Was he enjoying this? He liked seeing my anger.

"Alright Patrick that's enough." Someone else said. I mentally sighed. Thank you whoever that was. But alas my "savior" was next ti cat call me.

"If anything I think that she and I would make a hotter couple than you and her." Are you serious right now. These boys are crazy.

"SHUT UP HENRY!" The so called Patrick yelled.

I rolled my eyes and started walking away. I had enough of this.

I heard the car drive up closer again.

"Hey don't start walking while we are talking to you!" One of them yelled.

I still continued walking away from them. What was their problem anyways? I just need to get this shit and go back home. Maybe I can find a job if that means I can be farther away from my dad.

I glanced over to my right and saw one of the boys, I believe Henry, looking me dead in the eyes. I glared at him and turned left, caring the driver off guard. I chuckled to myself. Dumbasses. Now I was walking down a narrow alley. I was minding my own business until I realized I was a little lost. I mentally sighed to myself. Where to now?

The alley soon ended and I now was at the heart of town. I guess Derry does have quit a bit of people. I looked behind me to make sure that those boys weren't there again. Lucky for me they weren't. I still didn't exactly know where the store was. Guess I have to ask around for help.

I soon came across an arcade. This place looks fun. I don't think dad would mind if I spent a little money here. I walked in and saw a group of preteens surrounding one kid in the middle. I looked over to what game he was playing and it was street fighter. Damn I love that game. Soon enough I joined the group of young boys and watched the other boy play. One of them seemed to notice me and asked me,

"I haven't seen you here. Are you new?" I looked at him and blushed due to my embarrassment.

"O-oh yea.. I just moved here a day ago. My name is y/n." I told him while sticking my hand out.

"Hello y/n my name is Stanley." He shook my hand. He glanced over at the boy in the middle again.

"I don't usually come here, but my friends insisted me on going." He told me.

"I always loved arcades. My favorite would have to be street fighter. I usually play Ken." I smiled at him.

"Hey how old are you?" He asked me.

"I'm 15 but going on 16 in 4 months." He looked at me. I swear I could see a little disappointment in his face, but I brushed it off.

"Oh, we'll I'm 13. Same with my friends here. Say you should meet them!" He told me enthusiastically. I realized I had to buy the stuff still. I also didn't know where the store even was.

"Listen Stanley I actually have to go now. I was wondering though if you could tell me the directions to the grocery store though. I'm kind of lost."

"All you have to do is finishing going down this block and take a left. It was stick out." He told me. I thanked him and left the arcade.

I was going down the street and soon was at the end of it. I looked to my right and saw an alley with a recognizable blue car.

"Oh no. Not again." That got one of the boys' attention.
