Tristen
'What are you planning to wear?' I asked Mia as we Stepped out of the car.
'Maybe a dress,' she has an obsession with dresses, but they fit her little figure well.
'I'll help you look,' walking over to the dress section in her favorite boutique. We took out several dresses then brought them over to the changing room. One by one she tried them on and came out so I could see her. She looked beautiful in every one of them, not to mention when she smiled revealing her cute dimples. 'I like that one,' as she came out in lavender dress with a silver and black belt, that was just above her knee, as all of her other dresses. 'It compliments your stupid brown eyes,' I said trying to form a smirk, but obviously it didn't work. And obviously I liked her. Well' I don't know. She's kind and sensitive; has all the good qualities a girl should have. But I've known her for a long time, and I wouldn't want to do anything to make her unhappy.
'I can wear it with my necklace that has the black pendant,' I didn't answer because I was too busy admiring her beauty: her glossy, brunette hair, in that messy bun, her big bright brown eyes, and her full, soft-looking lips. Everything about her seemed perfect to me.
'Wanna go for some pizza?' she asked as we stepped out the boutique.
'Yeah sure, you're driving though,' giving a smirk.
'You lil' bitch,' she punched me , 'woo, someone's got abs,' she put her hand up , sending a shiver up my spine.
'I've had them since like forever, you dumbie,' I pulled her in for a hug and kissed her hair.we went into the car.
A few minutes into the drive there was silence, seemed as if she was having a mood swing. I turned to look at her, and saw tears flowing from her eyes. I pulled over the car and turned to face her, 'Mia?'
'My daddy,' she said. I knew right away that she was missing her dad.
I kinda understand what she's going through, even though I have both my parents, but still. 'It's gon' be alright Mia,' trying to comfort her. 'You wanna come to spend the night at my house.'
'I just wanna go home,' using my shirt to wipe her tears. 'You come to my house.'
'Okay.'
We didn't bother to get anything to eat, we just went straight to her house.
When we got there Gabby was watching TV in the living room,'Hi there Baby G, as she ran towards me.
'Mommy's in the kitchen,' dragging to the kitchen..
'Hi Mrs. Ellis, taking a seat on a kitchen stool,' will you call my mom can let her know I'm spending the night?'
'Yeah sure, Mia's having a breakdown again?'
'Kinda.'
She went over to the cupboard and took out a pack of Lays, 'Will you bring this up to Mia, and tell her I'll be up there soon.' I took the bag and went upstairs.
Apart from dresses Mia has an obsession with lays. everyday she has one in her school bag.
By the time I got up there she had changed into a long purple shirt with 'Baby Phat' written over it, and her earphones in her ears. Her hair was still in the messy bun, but even more messy. Handing her the Lays, 'Your mom said she'd be up here in a few,' she nodded , then the room fell silent.
Then finally she said' I hate my life,' and then starting to cry again.'The only perfect and stable thing in my life is you, Tris.'
I hugged her and trying not to say anything stupid,' Why, why do you hate your life? I mean, even though your dad's gone, you've got your mom and Gabby.'
'Gabby's is just seven so she doesn't understand my problems, and mom just doesn't get me.
'Mia, she cares for you, she-'
'No, she doesn't!' she screamed, getting off the bed and began pacing the floor, ' she doesn't and never will!'
'Mia don't say-'
'Don't say what, huh Tris? Your barely around to see how she treats me, ' she said a calmer voice, ' then only thing she cares about is herself.' she went over to her bookshelf and took out a bow from one of the shelves. That bow had a little pocket knife, which used belong to her father, which she uses to cut herself whenever she's angry or depressed.
'Mia , put that back,' i said getting up off the bed.
'No.'
'Then give it to me,' my black eyes holding the gaze of her's. 'C'mon, you can't do that to yourself.'
'It doesn't hurt,' she whispered.
'I don't care if it hurts or not, just give me the box.'
'No!' she yelled in my face, 'just get out.'
'Fine, I'll leave, and let you do your thing, you psychotic bitch.'
'Oh so now i'm a bitch, your such an asshole, Tristen.' she stood staring at me then finally whispered,' Just leave you ego-centric jerk.'A tear drop trickle down her cheek, but I couldn't go back to her and comfort her, she hurt my feelings. I mean, I'm trying to help her, and she's there saying I'm self-center. I wanted to comfort her and be there for her but instead, I found myself closing the room door behind me, going downstairs and heading home.
