The Darkness (Chapter One)

Chapter 1

Brian Allan Gurbez is a forty-five-year old middle school teacher working in Blackwood Middle School. He is one of the most popular and well-liked teachers in the school who had won the best teacher of the year award. On the outside he appears to be a patient, likeable and easygoing teacher who gets along with everyone including his fellow teachers, colleagues, staff members and students. He is less strict compared to the other teachers of to students doing their school works, submitting their assignments on time and when it comes enforcing class or school rules that it's almost impossible to think that he might be up to something no good. But behind his kind acts. What happens if he is who everyone actually thought to be.

He is actually a deranged mentally ill man who have a dark past history of violence that nobody knew about since he kept it from everyone. The day started off like any other day, when at the near end of class day, he lured two of his students by giving them detention for something they haven't done. Then asked them to come with him inside the faculty room for the respective tasks they had submitted. But when they got there, he suddenly drugged and knocked them both out unconscious. Brian took one of them in the faculty, while the other was snatch in the restroom. As far as the two know that was just the beginning of their nightmares and that's how their Darkness has started.

What have I done? What did I just do?

Was all Brian Gurbez could think of as he just stared at the young girl he had knocked unconscious. He watched as she slowly passed out, before he laid her down the floor. He quickly rushes out of the restroom to see the same he did to Jonathan. How could I such a thing? He thought to himself pacing back and forth around the room with his hands running through his hair.

Brian just stared down at the young boy he had knocked unconscious before Rachel. Jonathan's glasses had fell off his eyes when he passed out. It's lens has been shattered. Brian proceeded to stomp on the glasses to smash it completely, before moving him away from the door. Brian recall the day before and when everything  happen. Starting from the beginning.

He knew neither of them did anything wrong when he gave them detention. They are always well-behaved and quiet all the time. There aren't any bad school records about them. He is also aware that they haven't made any single mistakes on their assignments. But he decided to lure them in. With the intention of taking them both.

After he sends letters to their parents saying that their children had been punished for misbehaving and for disturbing classes. Brian originally planned to take them in detention. But when he saw there are still people outside. He didn't want to leave any witnesses, and is nervous they might scream. So he decided to take them somewhere in a much quiet place.

He decided that the teacher's faculty room will be the perfect spot. Because it is located at the fourth floor and the furthest room away from all the other classrooms. Since it's dismissal, most teachers and students have already went home. So there will only be a few to no people up there. Therefore no one would be able to hear them even if they would start screaming.

So he made up a lie that sure will be believable and manage to get them to follow him On the way, he allow them to text their mothers, so they wouldn't worry that much. When they went in there, he secretly locked the door so they won't be able to escape and gave them their tasks to distract them.

Brian filled a blue tag rag cloth with chloroforms. As he wanted for the moment to finally strike, he suddenly got torn between of who he is going to take first. Whether it will be Rachel or Jonathan. He was determining who is more weaker and more easy to take.
