Kayla's Pov

I took my usual detour home after school. Why a detour you ask?
I don't like being at home. School is the only place where everyone treats me as if I don't exist and I can have a peace of mind.

My parents are rich and always working and that's why they are never home. I think the last time I saw them was like two months ago.
My father is the CEO of the Tsubasa group which owns and builds the biggest spas across the world.
My mother is a asked designer. She designed most of my fathers company's spas. She, like my father, comes from a good background. They married each other to establish a better connection between the Tsubasa family and the Nakamuras, my mothers family.

Like I said because they are never home I, now a 15 year old child, was raised by my nanny, Ayame.
Really kind of her to raise a child who is neglected by her own parents, right?

No.

She made my life hell since I can remember. Everytime something goes wrong she blames me for it, saying it is my fault because apparently 'I don't try hard enough' and make her life more difficult. She always talked behind my back, spreading the rumour that I'm the failure of the family, whose parents don't even acknowledge their own daughter.
If it stayed with that kind of treatment then I wouldn't care, but most of the times it ends with...a beating.
My arms and back are always covered in poorly bandaged bruises as evidence of it. She treats my bruises of her abuse to the minimum, just so much that it won't leave a scar.

Because of that school is the best place for me to rest. I don't have any friends there, because of how I grew up i became afraid that if I even make the slightest mistake they will leave me too.

Like everyone did.

But ignoring those things today was a rather nice day. I was walking home (the detour of course) after a successful day in school, listening to music and holding my special bracelet tight in my pocket. Because of the dress code in my school we aren't allowed to wear any accessories while at school.
On my detour I would always pass the Tres Spades Hotel, Japans first and best legal casino and hotel.

I always liked the design of it, because of that I would always stare and admire it, while walking past it.

Ignoring my surroundings I concentrated on my music and the hotel, I straight up bumped into something and fell to the ground really hard.

'Ow...that hurt. What kind of wall did I walk into...' looking up i saw that it wasn't a wall that I bumped into but a big grown up man with dark brown hair and eyes the same colour but almost black, staring back at me coldly.

Brushing my hands off of dirt I was trying to stand up, when a hand was extended my way, but it wasn't the dark brown haired man but another with a hat on and light brown hair, smiling at me.

"Are you allright, little lady?"

"A-Ah yes..." I answered while taking his hand and helping me stand up. He turned to the man behind him his smile vanished.

"You can't even help a little kid standing up after it fell because of you! She could have hurt herself, Eisuke!"

The man named Eisuke didn't answer his (i guess) friend, but he had stared at me coldly since the beginning. I couldn't take my eyes off, but slowly I started to get scared of him.
After the remark of his friend he turned away breaking the eye contact.
