"Thank you, Malleus."

"It was no trouble. It will take some time before she fully heals, but she will be fine."

Y/N felt odd, odder than she could ever remember. It felt as if she was swimming through syrup.

Her eyes slowly flickered open and as a blinding light shone down on her, she winced, immediately shutting her eyes again with a low groan. She fought the soreness in one of her wrists and lifted the arm, pressing it to her head to try and block out as much of the light as she could.

"Y/N?" Something warm was next to her, and though she wanted to see who it was that was speaking to her, she found herself unable to open her eyes at the thought of the blinding light.

"C-can you turn off the light," she asked softly. She listened as footsteps left her bedside and when she heard the gentle click of the lights being turned off, she slowly lowered her arm and opened her eyes. Her vision was blurry, but after a few seconds, it started to clear, and she smiled when she saw Che'nya sitting next to her, tears clinging to his eyes as he smiled.

"Che'nya," Y/N asked, gently stretching her hand out to him. "What's the matter?"

Che'nya said nothing but took her hand in his and pressed it against his cheek. He shut his eyes and laughed gently, savouring the touch of his sister's warmth once more. He didn't think he would ever be able to get the crazed look that she had given him out of his mind, but for now, his sister's warmth was enough to soothe him.

"How are you feeling, N/N," he asked after a moment of silence. He gently brushed some of her hair away from her face.

"Sore." Y/N groaned as she shifted and she pulled her hand away from Che'nya. Slowly, she pushed her body up and with Che'nya's help, she was able to settle against the headboard of what appeared to be a medical bed.

She looked around and frowned when she realised that she and Che'nya were trapped by what appeared a square of white screens, blocking her from seeing the rest of her surroundings. She ignored the subtle pain in her neck and glanced toward the ceiling, biting her lip when she saw the stone and the windows that allowed the natural sunlight to filter in.

"Where are we," she asked quietly, shuffling closer to her twin, who gladly embraced her.

"We're in the infirmary at Night Raven College," he whispered. His eyes fluttered shut and he rested his cheek on Y/N's head, inhaling her scent, and memorizing the way that her arms wrapped around his arm, the pain preventing her from properly stretching her arm back.

"Why here," she asked.

Che'nya chuckled. "This is your new school, N/N."

Y/N frowned and pulled out of the hug. "What do you mean? I go to -"

Che'nya shook his head, looking somewhat sorrowful, but still joyful. "You were expelled, remember? You left without the headmistress' permission and were expelled." Che'nya moved slightly and pointed to a trunk that was sitting next to the bottom of the bed. "Trey brought everything here for you."

"But isn't this an all-boys school?"

Che'nya nodded. "Riddle and Trey were able to pull some strings to get you admitted here. I thought that you might like this better than RSA."

Y/N pouted mockingly. "You don't want little old me going to school with you?"

"Of course I do, N/N, but we all thought that you might fit in better here." Che'nya looked away, unable to meet his sister's eyes. How could he tell her about the deal with Azul? She would be going to stay in Octavinelle until she completed school, and she had no choice in the matter because Che'nya had made the deal with the coy octopus?
