Reunion

Silence fell. I could feel that everyone's gaze was towards me. The impact was instantaneous. Most of the civilians jaw dropped, some were pale and some of the officers lowered their guns, concentration dissipated. I even hear someone shriek in shock. The hostage-taker was looking at me, I could almost imagine him smirking. I look back at him.

I step forward. Gray gripped my right arm. Everyone looked at us intently. Gray squinted his eyes slightly.

"Lucy, it might be a trap." Is all he said. "Well, I can handle a 30-foot-drop." I said jokingly. His face became more serious. Impatience was conquering me now.

"Look, there's 30 hostages there. Do you want them to lose their lives, huh, Gray?" I blurted out. He was shocked but his pale, cold hands let me go.

I walk towards the building and entered. I had my gun and radio with me. I started to walk upstairs, my mind wandering.

What does he want with me? Who is he? Why does he want to talk to me? I don't understand. He kidnapped 30 hostages just to talk to me? He's that desperate?

"Ah. Sweet-Heart. We meet again."

I look at her. She looks confused and shocked at the same time. I look at her from head to toe. She is wearing jeans and a white t-shirt. She had her hair up and she has her cast. I walked up to her and touched her face. She looked at me. With those brown eyes. I smirked. I held her right hand carefully and kissed it. She smells so good. I walked away in glee.

"Who are you?" She said, uncertainly. I can't help but chuckle at her innocence.

"Don't you remember, sunshine?" I said as I removed my mask.

She gasped and took a step back. The hostages were blindfolded, they don't know a thing.

"You." She said in mixed emotions.

"Missing me?" I said.

"I missed you so much." She said in the most sarcastic way possible. She is trying to keep a disdainful expression on her face but miserably failed.

"Ah. I figured as much." I said, playing along.

"What do you want?" She asked.

"I don't want. I need. I need to talk to you." I playfully said.

"Fine. What do you want to talk about? Want to talk about how I hate the hospital?" She said, everyone listened to her in awe.

"Woah missy, have you forgotten what I did from the hospital? Or you didn't recognize?" I said, almost angry. I try to keep a calm voice.

She looked towards me with an understanding expression. I think she was confirming it. She knew me. She saw me too.

"Good thing you knew. I would be so dissapointed if you didn't." I said.

"I didn't." She denied. I know this. She's plainly trying miserable to make me feel bad.

"How intriguing. What was the reason for you gasping?" I asked, every hostage listened like I was telling a bedtime story. She was silent. Nobody else understood us.

After a while nobody spoke.

"Yeah. I thought so." I said smugly with a smirk on my face. "It's kinda nice to hear you recognizing me. It seems like I'm so remarkable. I'm also shocked that nobody else remember my appearance in detail. The height. I'm actually 5'8" get it right."

"I see it's useless to deny." She finally said.

"Yeah. Denying me like that. You hurt me." I said, imitating a sad voice.

"I would like to." She said.

"Aw. Like you ever would." I countered. She turned red at this.

"The police woman lies." I said, chuckling. I love annoying her.

The blindfolded hostages were shocked. They were so confused.

My phone rang and suddenly, Lucy became attentive.

"Well, I got to get going now. I'd love to see you research about me." I said, laughing. "And also, after this.. The police would probably hunt me. Better get ready for you."

"I would make sure that you get to jail then, be ready." She said, pulling out a gun.

"Sure." I said, shooting towards her but I Meant for it to miss. And it did. The bullet missed her by inches. Everyone was terrified. She shut her eyes but opened them immediately. She stared at me, wide eyed.

I looked at her gorgeous flowing blonde hair. One last time.

"Again, My name is Natsu Dragneel. For research purposes." I said, winking as I fled.
