Two days after her birthday, Isabella's father, Chief Swan, arrived at Gotham City airport to pick Isabella up.
He felt a nervous chill running down his spine. He wasn't sure if his daughter that he'd been so distant from for the past several years would cope with life with him.
Would she fit in at the dark and nervewracking Univeristy of Gotham as a junior?
Was it a right move to transfer colleges as a junior?
Was he even capable of raising his daughter?
The carride from the airport was silent, with Isabella mostly staying quiet and listening to music through her headphones.
"How was the plane ride, Isabella?", he asked.
"It was okay. Umm, it's Bella now" she said, sternly
"Bella? Okay bella it is" he repliedBella looked around cautiously.
There were things that she didn't quite understand, such as the Joker, his violence, and the difficulties Gothamites had to face with Arkham's loons.
Maybe it wasn't the best decision moving here.
Bella continued texting on her phone. She made friends on facebook with a girl called Barbara Gordon, who also went to UGotham, and seemed to be really nice.
"Are you staying in the dorms?" asked Barbara on instant message.
"No, just with my dad". His house is close to the University", Bella replied.
Glancing up, her father signaled her that an emergency had come up and he would have to leave. Chief Charlie sat into a police car parked on the side of the street and rushed, talking on the radio franatically.
Bella stood their, in front of Charlie's old orange car, continuing texting Barbara, feeling a bout of nervousness through her chest. When suddenly,
Bella Swan wondered who the mysterious person was that had saved her. A man that had disappeared through what seemed to be some sort of portal.
Confusion arose through Bella's mind, who thought that she was hallucinating.
The touch of the person couldn't be a hallucination. It was too real to be.
She had heard of the batman being a savior to all Gothamites.
But wouldn't the Bat wear a mask?
Whatever it was had Bella feeling something she hadn't ever felt before. The truth was that only one person knew about the mysterious incident but his amazingly talented mind was too baffled to understand what had happened
The savior himself.
But how did he get there? And where was he now?
Why was his skin ice cold and pale like the perpetrators?
