Chapter Fourteen
Alison P.O.V.
I sat in the airport my hands shaking in my lap. I was waiting for my dads plane to arrive. Dallas had volunteered to come but I told him it was fine, I mean I was only picking him up right? I wasn't going to tell him the news until dinner. Or after dinner maybe. I was just starting to get a baby bump, but you could barley see it.
I could see my dad come around the corner, it took him a moment for him to see me before he started heading in my direction.
"Hey dad." I said giving him a quick hug.
"Hi, lets go get my luggage." He said quickly and began to walk to where the luggage was being set out.
We sat in awkward silence while we waiting for his luggage to come around, when it finally did he grabbed his things and we headed towards the car.
We entered the house and Maria and Dallas were cooking in the kitchen. Dad parked his suitcase by the bottom of the stairs and followed me into the kitchen. "Maria, Dallas, this is my dad." I said nervously. My heart was beating a mile a minute.
"Hey Mr. Draft." Dallas said giving my dad one of his heart warming smiles. God damn, either I was developing feelings for Dallas or all these hormones were making me horny.
"Hi Dallas, Maria, dinner smells delicious." My father said, he like it when people called him 'Mr. Draft' it made him feel powerful and important.
"Dallas would you help me set the table?" I asked grabbing a bunch of plates. My hands were so sweaty I'm surprised I didn't drop them.
"Sure thing." Dallas grabbed the rest and followed me into the dining room.
"Jesus Dallas! What was I thinking? I should have invited him up here before he could try to convince me to get an abortion! He's gonna kill me. Oh god Dallas! He's gonna think you did this to me!" I started going on a rampage.
He put his hands on my shoulders and looked me straight in the eye, "Alison calm down. He's not going to make you do anything, its your baby. And so what if he thinks its my baby, better mine than Chase's."
Maria came walking in with food before I could say anything back. Dallas and I sat beside each other and Maria and my dad sat across from us.
I could barley eat because my stomach was so full of butterflies.
When dinner was over the four of us sat there casually talking, Dallas was impressing the hell out of my dad with his grades.
"So what was it you dragged me all the way down here to tell me?" My father asked looking at me head on. My heart was pounding so hard I swear Dallas could hear it beside me.
"Well dad, you probably won't like what I have to say"-
"You got kicked out again didn't you? Damn it Alison what is this? 4 schools now? You have to start taking things seriously,"
"Dad!" I tried to interrupt. He kept going on pacing behind the table.
"You're never going to get a good job and you're sure as hell not going to live off my money..."
"Dad!" I yelled again standing up, "I didn't get kicked out! I'm pregnant!" I yelled over him.
He froze. He turned to look at me, his eyes wide. "Please tell me you didn't just say what I think you did."
I sat back down, feeling terrible. I could feel Dallas put his hand on my knee.
"Sorry." I said looking down, putting my hand on Dallas'.
"I think I would have preferred you got kicked out again." We were silent for awhile. "How far along are you?"
"About 9 weeks." I said quietly.
"So its not too late!" My dad said, hope still left in his voice. "You can still get rid of it."
"I'm not getting rid of it." I said looking him in the eye keeping my voice strong and steady.
"The hell you aren't." He said pulling out his cell phone about to make the arrangements.
"You can call and make the arrangements, but I won't go and let someone take my baby away."
"Oh no? What does its dad think about all this?" He said crossing his arms.
I opened my mouth but no words came out.
Dallas stood up from beside me. "He wants to keep the baby too."
Oh my god. Dallas just told my dad he was the father of my child. Chase's child.
My father was silent, he was staring at Dallas obviously processing what had just happened. After a few moments he shifted his attention back to me.
"Alison Draft, if you have this child I swear to god I will disown you. You will not be my daughter anymore." He said his expression cold.
I would feel my mouth open in disbelief. I stood up, "In that case I think it's time you leave."
My dad walked into the living room, and Dallas and I followed him. He grabbed his suitcase and opened the door. "I will have my lawyer contact you." He was about to leave when he turned back around. For a moment I thought maybe he was going to apologize. Instead he said, "You're mother would be so disappointed." And he left.
I was laying in my bed crying softly into my pillow and cuddling my stuffy, I couldn't believe what had happened today. My father disowned me, legally.
I heard a knock on my door, I didn't answer. I heard the door open and close softly. I knew that it was Dallas by the way he walked. The bed sunk in next to me, I could feel his warm body cradle mine. He tucked his chin in my crook of my neck.
"Why'd you do it?" I asked quietly.
"Do what?" His breath was hot on my skin, it gave me shivers.
"Tell my dad you were the father."
Dallas was silent for a minute. "I thought it was the best thing to do."
I turned around to face him, our were faces inches apart, "Thank you." I whispered. Dallas' eyes flickered between my eyes and my lips, debating if he should. Finally he decided and kissed me, it wasn't rough like Chase's. It was gentle and sweet like he thought I might break.
The kiss intensified, I put my hand on the waist of his pants. "Take these off." I murmured under my breath. He did as I said, his hands made their way to my waist and he slipped my shirt off.
"Are you sure?" He asked kissing my neck.
"Yes."
