[New Years Day, 1973]

You woke up in a hospital bed and faintly hearing your father yelling and other voices arguing with him.

"(Fathers Name)  (L/N), You are under arrest for child neglect and child abuse. Anything you say can and will be used against you in court of.."

The voice fades and you see a nurse walking over to you with a clipboard in hand.
"Hi there sweetie. You don't have to worry, you're safe here. Do you remember anything that happened?"
You nod at her, in an unsure way. The nurse sighs and seems to show you a look of sadness, almost pitiful.
"Do you mind telling me what you remember?"
You agree and tell her about your father and how he acted and what he said. What he did. You tell her how it hurt your ears, about the cuts and bruises which she had already knew about.

"You're very brave you know that kiddo?"
Her words try to be encouraging but all you feel is the sharpness in your ears from the noises.
"Is it just you and your dad? Where's mom?" The nurse asks. Father never explained it to you well but all you knew was that he told you she didn't listen to him so he 'got rid of her'.
Of course you didn't tell the nurse that, so you just shrugged your shoulders, which were also ridden with pain. You hissed and winced from the pain.
"Yeah that'll hurt for a good bit, He scratched you up pretty good didn't he?"
You could say that. except he didn't really scratch. He hit. Punched, Slapped, and cut, but he didn't scratch you any :/

You got really bored from time to time sothe nurse would take you around the hospital and let you move around. One time you saw this young boy with really curly long brown hair leaving with a cast on his arm. He looked about your age. His face lit up with excitement and he went to wave but winced in pain due to using the wrong arm. the broken one. he ran up to you and introduced himself.
"Hi!! i'm Eddie!" His excitement made you happy, he seemed funny and perky. "I'm (y/n)! what happened to your arm?" He acted as if he didn't notice the cast but then goes on the explain. "nothing big! just fell off my bike doing a stunt!"

{SIDE NOTE} You cannot tell me that Eddie wasn't a hellion as a kid.

"oh ok" he seemed pretty calm about it.
The nurse signaled that it was time to go back.
"BYE OTHER KID!!" He waved to you until you couldn't see or hear him saying goodbye to you.

*i wonder if i'll see him again.*
