Once a week, Stella went to the local bookstore. She sat by herself and didn't talk to anyone except the librarian to check out books. This week, she was reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee, her best friend Sophia had suggested it, and she liked it so far. Sophia had been with her for as long as she could remember, so she had no choice but to be her friend. However, she didn't mind hanging around her, it was better than being alone. Stella was shy most of the time, she had pale skin and jet black hair. People at school called her goth and freak but she didn't care what they thought.
