"It isn't a school project,its business"

I walked in my house and dropped my purse on the couch and walked in the kitchen.

"Hey mama" I said sitting on the chair

"Hi sweets" She said walking over and planting a kiss on my head right before placing a subway sandwich in front of me

My phone buzzed and I pulled it out of my jean pocket.

Text Message:

Maggataag: Hey Chech

Me: Hey Chech

Maggataag: Can you come with me to get the rest of my ?

Me: Yeah sure, just swing by and get me

"Hey can i go shopping with Maggie" i said taking the last bite of my sandwich

"Don't eat with your mouth open " she said pushing my jaw together with a smile

"Don't forget that we have a photo shoot with Daddy tomorrow, and we are recording for the show" she said kissing me and walking to the living room

I grabbed the wrapping and thew it in the garbage.

"Maggie is here" yelled mom from the living room

I grabbed my phone and purse and walked out the door.

I then walked to the passenger side of Maggie's range rover and hopped in.

"Hey hon" she said hugging me right before I put on my seatbelt.

"You look cute today" she said admiring my outfit,

"what.... all im wearing is a black tee,ripped jeans, and converse" I responded with a smile

I love Maggie. She knows just what to say to make me laugh or even smile.

"So" she said interrupting me from my thought. "we have a busy day ahead of us"

"Really?" I asked as she pulled into the mall parking lot.

"Yup" she replied "we need to look hot for The Grier halloween party"

"Well that's easy for you too say" I said closing the car door and meeting her in the front of the car "you have a date"

She then looked at me and pulled me closer "you can't tell ANYONE" she said looking secretive "but Jack G, told Hayes, then Hayes told Carter, and Carter told me, that he is probably going to ask you to the Halloween party"

"wait" I said confused "Hayes is asking me"?

"No dummy" she said laughing "JACK GILINSKY"

"Well you could of said that before" I said softly pushing her

"Wait" I said grabbing her, "in that case we need to shop till we drop" and with that we ran into the mall and did exactly that

5 Hours laters

We stuffed all our bags into the trunk and hopped in the car.

"That was fun" I said putting on my seatbelt

"It's always fun" she said starting the engine "so how bout on before the party we go to your place and get ready"

'Yeah" I chimed in "and my driver Jason can drive us,so we don't have to be responsible"

We drove to my house and grabbed all of my bags and hugged Maggie goodbye.

I walked in my house and heard voices in the kitchen. My parents were there talking and once I walked in, they completely stopped talking.

"Sorry for interrupting" I said dropping my bags on the floor

"It's fine"said my mom patting the seat next to her, "we were just talking about the shoot, and surprise we have for you" she added

"A surprise for mwah" I said blushing and sitting on the counter "spill it"

"Butts off the table" said my dad pushing me off

"Yeah,Yeah" I said jumping off and sitting on the chair

"Ok" said my mom "we were talking about a clothing line"

"For the family?" I asked confused about this surprise

"No honey" said my dad, "Just you"

"Get out" I said jumping up and down

"And" added my mom, "you can pick a couple of friends as models"

"O my freakin gosh" I said grabbing my phone and started to dial digits

"hold it" yelled my mom, she then grabbed my phone "we need to keep this on the downlow, this is really important"

"yeah" chimed in my dad "You can't just hire your friends then quit on them once you get in a fight"

"Dad is correct" said my mom "we need contracts and parent signatures"

"Yeah, I know" I said "stop yelling"

"No one is yelling" said my dad

"I'm just stating the rules" Kim said in a teary voice

"I already know, this isn't a school project,it's business" I said repeating rules that I've had memories since the age of 5

"We just want to make all your wishes come true" said my mom "no matter what it is"

"Ok" I said sitting back in my chair "I want to try singing"

"Singing" said my mom almost spitting out her water bottle "No one in our family can sing"

My dad stood there nodding her head "Let's hear something"

"Like right now" I said shocked and not prepared for this

"Yeah" he answered "If you want to sing, you need to be prepared for anything"

"Yeah" said mother, "Let's hear"

I cleared my throat "I heard that you're settled down" I started "that you found a girl and you're married now" I took a breath and started again "I heard that your dreams came true,Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you" I sang holding that last note

The looks on my parent's face, said it all

"What did you think"? I asked prepared for the worst

My mom grabbed her phone from her back pocket and began dialing

"What is she doing" I mouthed to my dad

Kim then spoke up "I'm making some calls, you have an amazing voice baby girl, and everyone needs to know it"

I smiled, and jumped up and down

3 Hours later

I hugged my parents goodnight, and grabbed my bags and walked to my bedroom. I pushed my door closed and flopped on my bed.

I didn't feel like changing, I didn't even feel like moving. I spotted a plaid shirt that I wore last night on the floor, and grabbed it.

I threw it on and flopped in bed. I layed my head on my pillow and just thought.

"Its not a school project, it's business" I said over and over again until it was pitch black dark....
