The Hellfire Club (Garethxreader)

chapter 2

I stand in what looks like my house but there's vines and mould everywhere, this wasn't my house. The house smells like mildew and stale air. I slowly walked around the house, though there was no sound, I couldn't even hear my own footsteps, the only thing that could be heard was the echo of my voice, I looked out the window and was met with pure darkness, nothing in the black void outside the window, "violet" I heard a demonic sounding voice, I quickly turned my head to where I thought the sound had came from, though I saw nothing, I turned to the entrance of the hallway and what was on the opposite side of the hallway terrified me, my body felt frozen in place staring at something that should only exist in horror movies, it was this fleshy looking humanoid creature with huge veins everywhere, I was at loss of words, I opened my mouth but nothing came out "you will soon pay for your mistakes violet" the humanoid creature spoke again while staring at me with blue eyes, which was unusual for the rest of its body.

I shot out of bed in a cold sweat, I frantically looked around my room to see my usual placement of belongings, the house no longer had vines or mould in it or smelt like mildew and stale air, I could hear birds chirping outside as the light from my window shone through my room, I could hear something going on in the kitchen, I walked out of my room standing in the very hallway i was just in staring at the horrifying thing that was in my nightmare, I walked out to the kitchen to see mom making breakfast, I sat down at the table and rested my arms on the table, that's when I saw the number Gareth had written on my hand last night "morning vi" mom brought over two plates of food as she sat down on the opposite side of the table "morning mom" I look at the bacon and eggs she had cooked for me, I looked up at her and she noticed I wanted to ask her something "hey mom, can I hang out with my new friends later today?" she had a slightly surprised look "sure, you never told me you had friends now" I looked back down at my plate and quietly giggled "well I only met them yesterday"

After breakfast I picked up my telephone and started pressing the number that was on my hand "hii? Who is this?" I heard a young girl's voice on the other side of the phone "uh hi, I'm looking to speak to Gareth if he's around" i ask before hearing the little girl yell out something "Gareth, there's a girl on the phone looking for you!" i heard the girl giggle and run off before I heard another voice "Hey, sorry that was my little sister" I smile at hearing the familiar voice, he told me his address, I then got dressed into a nice light tan coloured shirt with a brown flannel on top of it with a pair of jeans and my usual shoes, I said goodbye to mom and started to walk to his house, surprisingly he lived quite close to me.

As i got closer to his house I could hear his band already playing, as I got to his house I could see his garage door was open so I quietly walked to the door and watched them practise, I saw Gareth playing drums, jeff and James both playing guitars "sounds really good" I say leaning against the doorframe of the open garage as they finish playing, a wide smile swept across Gareth's face as he noticed I was standing there "I'm glad you like it!" I said hi to the others, though shortly after Jeff and James went into the kitchen to do something leaving Gareth and i in the garage, I walked closer to the drum set Gareth sat at, he was fiddling with his drumsticks as I watched "you're really good at the drums" I smile as he looks up from his drumsticks "thank you" he smiles as his face goes a slight red colour "I've always wanted to learn how to play them but just never got around to it" he looked back up like he was about to say something "I can teach you" he gets up from the chair telling me to sit down and hands me the drumsticks, I hold the drumsticks in my hands as he walks behind me and gently puts his hands on top of mine on the drumsticks, he directs my hands to play some music on the drums, I felt my face heat up as I looked down at our hands, I could hear a slight giggle in my ear as I heard the other two boys walk in "see, I told you" Jeff laughed to James while looking at both of us, I quickly stood up and walked away while clearing my voice.
