Hi, thanks so Much for taking the time to read this, this is the first thing i have written on here. The first Chapter is EXTREMELY short as its just introducing Rosmary and allowing you to see how she thinks, its also setting up the story slightly, this chapter is incredibly bland, but, please continue to read my further updates a I guarentee it will get better... i hope O_o ....
I walk slowly away from the school, creeping out, away from the laughter and chatter; I don't belong near that sort of warmth. I felt hollow inside, around where my heart should've been. I stopped walking for a moment just to place two fingers to the side of my neck, I felt the soft beat of a pulse push against my fingers, damn I'm still alive. i continued walking.
I soon reached the thick woods that were abundant in my town, I continued to walk. I squeezed through the gaps between the trunks of proud, tall trees. Thistles and branches cut at my skin as i walked, sometimes drawing blood; i didn't care. I kept walking. I soon reached the pond that i always went to, i looked at its clear, yet tinted slightly green, water; stepped forward and sat on the mossy area surrounding it. i didn't know what to think, was i even thinking? yes, but my mind was moving too fast for me to comprehend. As I sat there the sorrow, the anger, the pain all flew out of me, i cried, I screamed I slammed my fists into trees, no one heard. I sat down rubbing my eyes and checking the time on my phone Shit I need to get moving so that mother doesn't figure out that I skipped, I didn't really care that much if she found out but i wasn't really in the mood for another fight.
I got up wishing that I could stay there forever, away from people, i felt as though my presence was draining them, but yet i craved their words, their thoughts, I wanted to see their emotions, but it hurt me, they had emotions that i no longer felt, they saw the world differently, they had more illusions, i wasn't deserving of their illusions, i wasn't deserving of the illusions that i still had. I was soon shocked to see the sunlight its brightness burning my eyes after the darkness of the woods, i blinked a few times to allow my eyes to adjust. A few seconds later i continued to drag my self towards home.
As I reached my small street I smelt smoke and what I decided was the distinct smell of human flesh, adrenaline rushed through my body, the panic was welcomed in place of the blankness, even though it was not a pleasant emotion, I reached the house of my mother and saw a blackened skeletal structure surrounded by ash and dying coals. It was clear the firemen had just left due to the dampness of the earth and the wood and metal was still hot when I placed my hand against it. I could not take my eyes off the sight before me I felt a sinking feeling, the flesh smell was so strong here. i walked into the ruins of the house.
