*Beep, beep, beep, b-*

As I heard my alarm go off for the forth time in a row, I decided it was probably best if I shut it off before my mom started to get suspicious and come upstairs to check on me and give me the whole, "darling are you alright? You're going to be late if you don't get up and you can't stay home, you've already missed too much school this year", yeah that speech...you know the one.

I dreaded the cold I was about to endure as I stuck my arm out from under my white comforter to slap the top of my alarm yet again.
Why does school have to be like everyday? Why not every other day? Or like only Monday to Thursday? A girl can only dream.
It seems I never actually realize how much I love and appreciate my bed until I'm forced to get out of it. Did I mention how much I hate mornings? No? Well I do.

Let me tell you one thing about myself to start off. I, Lacey Matthews, am NOT a morning person whatsoever and I sure as hell don't appreciate having to get up early to go to a place where I would much rather not be.

School.

I guess I should give you a little insight about my school and the kind of people you would find in it if you went there.

Rivendell High is pretty much one of the coolest high school's you would ever want to attend. It's not like the movies or television shows were there's a queen bee, head jock, cliques, mean teachers or any musicals breaking out during lunch our. It's also not loaded with drama and gossipy teens, which if you ask me is my favourite part.

Sure you have the more popular kids and cliques, but like I said it's not like the movies. People hang out with whoever they want to, date whoever they please, no one is judged for what they wear or look like, it's actually a pretty chill school, much to my surprise. The odd dramatical thing will happen at a party or maybe like once or twice a month but other than that everyone pretty much knows each other and is nice to one another.

That's one of the things that actually makes me want to go to school, the fact that I can wake up late, throw my hair in a messy bun, put on just about whatever I see is clean and appropriate for the weather, go make-up free if I desire and hit the road. All and all, takes me about 25 minutes to get ready in the morning, 30 if I make breakfast and grab a lunch.
Today I decide is going to be a "lazy day" as my friends call it, hmm, I guess they're right I did not put much effort into my look today. Must be why they call it a lazy day.

I threw my long sun kissed, blonde hair into a messy bun before heading to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face.
My tanned skin is pretty clear, normally, but around my time of the month, or the odd day, I'll get a few pimples. Based on the fact that today is one of my acne-free days, I decide to go with no make up and leave the bathroom to change.

It's dead set in the middle of autumn right now, not to hot, not too cold, that's why it's my favourite season, also because everything just looks so nice out with the leaves changing colours and all. I live in Canada so our seasons are pretty distinct and we actually get all four of them, which I kinda like because my wardrobe is pretty massive because of that fact.

I decide to go with ripped jeans, a hoodie with our schools mascot and name, with my last name written on the back. It's actually a decent looking sweater if you ask me. I grabbed a pair of sperry top-siders before putting them on a looking at myself in my body length mirror hanging on the back of my bathroom door. Yes that's right, I have my OWN bathroom, which I'm pretty much completely in love with due to the fact that I have three older brothers, yeah I know...three. They're pretty awesome and I'm thankful they always have my back but sometimes the protectiveness of their baby sister gets to be a bit much...but that's a story for another day.
