♦️Chapter 23♦️

Mark put the pedal down on the accelerator. He was lucky that he could put the boy to sleep before anything bad could happen to him.

Looking back in the mirror he saw how another car trailed after him. It was fortunate that he trusted his senses, put Donghyuck asleep and is now speeding away. He knew who was trailing after.

It was probably because Donghyuck was alone and they don't know how powerful Mark was. He always went on the field with no identity and made sure he wasn't recognised.

Drifting around corners at high speeds and using his side mirrors to glimpse back, Mark realised the grey car behind him was catching up.

He looked on his radar how the closest safe zone was in the opposite direction and he was currently in ShinXo's territory. 

Suddenly stopping on the motorway, the car behind zoomed passed as Mark span his car around at a junction to go the opposite way of the silver car.

After a while of no cars behind, he slowed down, rolling down the windows of the car to give fresh air.

It was only a few minutes before Mark got home. It was currently 2 AM and he hoped the others were still asleep. But he thought wrong.

"Mark Lee Minhyuck! Care to fucking explain why a passed-out Donghyuck is in your hands and the fucking car behind you is dented?" A silhouetted figure scolded Mark."

"Go to sleep Johnny." Mark rolled his eyes bashing his shoulder against his as he went up the stairs he was on.

Johnny griped on Mark's shoulder tightly.

"Mind what you say ungrateful brat. Put Donghyuck to bed then come back downstairs. You and I are going to have a chat. And if you don't I'll tell Yong." Johnny threatened the boy who nodded.

Never mess with Johnny. Although he is an admirable guy he is threatening when angry. Mark knows that. 

He is the main muscle of the team and one of the best advisors he has, Jaehyun close behind. Don't ever mess with him!

Mark quickly undressed the boy unamused of the naked boy when doing so because he had already seen him like that twice.

He rummaged through the boy's cupboards pulling out some of his night clothing and putting them on for him.

Tucking him into bed reminded him of the times when his mother would drink wasted because his father was going too hard on him.

He cared for those moments a lot but that was before his father and mother died in that accident. Very well plotted but not strong enough to break through the strong barricade his father shaped him into.

But strong enough to add fuel to the fire of Mark's emotions, killing the problem of the accident and arising from the ashes of a war which was meant to be buried ages ago. Mark looked at sleeping Donghyuck and walked back down the stairs.

"Why are you even awake." Mark inquired as he sat down on one of the living room chairs with his legs crossed.

"Went for a drive with Ten. When we came back I saw one of the cars was gone. Ten went to sleep, I told him to but I also checked in with who was there. You and Donghyuck weren't. So, explain." Johnny demanded.

"I just went out with Donghyuck." Mark shrugged realising Johnny was choking from what he said.

"Holy shit! You took him on a date!" Johnny whisper yelled trying not to wake up the whole house with his remark.

"The fuck no!" Johnny shook his head at Mark.

"Don't like. Where did you go and what did you do. I know you are good at lying but please tell me."
