"Of course Dad would be involved in the assassination. I should've known." Diego stared blankly at the floor, sitting atop of a table.
"No, youre jumping to conclusions." Five rubbed the back of his neck, walking in circles, stressing himself out more. "I mean, your father is a man of many surprises." Y/N mumbled, tugging at her dress.
"What else is he doing standing on the grassy knoll, holding an open black umbrella on a sunny day in Dallas, the exact same moment the president gets shot?" Diego pointed to the frozen picture on the wall, screaming at Five.
Five placed his lips together, "It doesn't look good, I admit."
"No, he's the signalman for the whole goddamn thing."
"Easy, Diego." Y/N scoffed.
Five sighed, "Seriously."
"No, it makes sense. This is what Hazel was obviously trying to tell you. We have to stop dad from killing the president." Diego spoke, looking down at the boy.
Lila looked between the two, then to Y/N. She gave a small shrug before beginning to listen to the two brothers bicker.
"Diego, calm down, all right? Dad was no boy scout, but presidential assassination? It's never been his thing."
"How would you know?" Diego looked at the ground again, with a blank stare. "You skipped out on his golden years."
Five nodded his head, "Skipped out? You think I had it easy Diego? I was alone for 45 years." Five strained his words. "You know what? We dont have the time for this right now. Dads clearly in Dallas, right? Let's just go talk to him. Maybe he can help us fix the timeline." Five walked back and fourth.
"Dallas is a big place. We need to find him first"
Y/N sighed, giving a fake smile, "Gee, if only we had some magical, old-times way of finding people and their addresses."
;
A thick light blue book smacked on the table in front of the three.
Diego flipped through the pages quickly.
"Let's start simple. His name." Five stuffed his hands in his pockets."Hargreeves... Hargreeves... Hargreeves..." Diego repeated, scanning the long lists of last names. "Shit, nothing here."
"Try his company. D.S. Umbrella Manufacturing Co." Five spoke quickly, leaning over Diego's shoulder.
Y/N and Diego gave Five a weird look.
"Yeah, I know the name." Diego scoffed. "Thanks."
Five rolled his eyes, before looking back at the book."Holy shit." Y/N spoke, pointing to the name. "D.S. Umbrella. Eighty-two Olive."
Five took a quick glance at Y/N who was still interesting in the address, then back at the book. "Let's go." Diego turned to grab the keys.
Elliot grunted as the three walked past him, struggling in his restraints. Y/N almost felt bad for the man, if she hadn't remembered him trying to kill them earlier on in the day.
"He okay to leave alone like that?" Diego asked.
"Yeah, he's fine. What about the girl?"Elliot grunted louder, trying to wiggle out of the chair.
"Shit." Diego spoke, earning a large sigh from Five and Y/N.
;
It was late. Or Y/N thought it was late. It was almost pitch black outside, the only light visible being the headlights and a small roadside light.
The car slowly came to a stop in front of the large building. "This is it."
Y/N sighed, opening the back door. "Why did I have to sit in the back. Technically speaking i'm older than Five in this body. By at least 3 months." She crossed her arms, following behind the two siblings.
She was ignored, "D.S. Umbrella, this is it." Diego sighed as well.
Five stopped, reading the sign of the building, seeing the familiar umbrella shape. "You okay?" Diego turned to his brother, looking him up and down.
"Yeah, fine. Just..." Five continued walking towards the door, shaking his hands out of his pockets with a sigh.
"How longs it been since you've seen the old man," Diego snatched a knife from his holster, starting to try and pick at the lock. "Forty-five years." Five leaned on the building.
"What do you miss him or something? I dont get the issue." Y/N placed her lips together.
"Shut up." Five hissed at the girl.
"That's a trip." Diego responded.
"No kidding." Five sighed. "You know when I was stuck out there, in the apocalypse, there wasn't a day that went by where I didn't hear his voice in my head."
"What was he saying?" Diego struggled with the lock muttering a curse under his breath.
"I told you so." Five turned to the girl, then looked down to his shoes, almost a sad look on his face.
Y/N cracked a giggle, "Harsh."
Diego scoffed softly, "Well if Dads here, he's never met you before, so he can't say I told you so."
"I'm sure he'll find a way," Five tilted his head to Diego, sighing as he spatial jumped into the building, quickly unlocking the door and opening it.
"Right." Diego placed his lips together tightly, feeling stupid. "Gotta remember that." He cleared his throat, walking into the building.
Y/N followed after, giving Five a small head nod , before he too followed after.
Five reached for a lamp, clicking it on. The yellow light filled the room for a few seconds, before blinking off.
"Shit." Y/N turned to the now off light.
"Guess dad wasn't much for home decor."
They looked around the room, Five hitting a pillow on the couch, watching dust fly from it. "Feels more like a front." The raven-haired boy said.
"Front for what?"
"I dont know..."
"Well I'll take the left, yell if you guys uh... get in trouble." Diego smiled, before closing the door.
Y/N opened the right door, grabbing Fives collar, pushing him into the room. "Easy."
Five tried to open the first door, failing. Y/N moved to the second one, as Five switched on the light.
The room lit up, revealing a fake family of mannequins. "Are these Delores' belated relatives?" Y/N joked, with a small laugh.
"Not funny, Y/N." Five pinched her side, examining the room.
"What the hell are you up too...?"
