The escape

Part 3 of: The navy's goose chase

Hana turned her head to them, barely standing her own ground right now. Tears slightly visible as they slowly made her way down her bloodied cheek. Not sure if the blood going down her face was her own, or the soldiers blood. Or any other wounds and blood on her clothing in that matter.

The two were both stunned and confused. Why was she crying? She didn't seem like the type too. Was it really that bad? The answer was no, not really. I mean, of course it was bad but it wasn't the reason why she was currently trembling in place, too shocked to move.

Instead she dropped the head and scythe from her hands, both making some sort of thunk sound. This snapped kid out of his trance as he stepped towards her. She opened her mouth, like she was about to say something but it closed in doubt.

Killer looked around the room. The more tools and items he saw for a certain use, the more his blood began to boil at the thought, but he could do much about it. The guys were already dead.

Hana fully turned to her captain as a shaky sigh left her lips but Kidd did the unexpected. His arm went around her back and he pulled her against him in a sort of hug. She winched and tensed up at first from the sudden action. Her eyes slightly widened as a new comfort feeling came in.

Killer crossed his arms as he watched the two. It was unexpected, but I guess it was safe to say that she was quickly growing on him. And to think it was only the crew. Of course Killer still had his suspicions and wanted to know more about her past, but I guess for now, it could wait a bit.

"I wanted to kill him you little menace." He slightly growled with a frown. Of course he wasn't actually mad, just disappointed that he didn't get to do it. Hana held onto his fur coat for a bit of support as she tried to say something but Kidd glared at her, making her shut up.

"The first thing better be yes captain, or else I'm throwing you over board, remember?" She cracked a small smile and gave him a quick nod. "Good. You did well newbie." After he said that, she fell as her knees finally gave out because of the pain and blood loss. Killer took a step forward but Kidd had her, guess it was just a reflex.

Hana was passed out now and didn't feel Kidd pick her up to carry her. He turned to killer. "We are getting the fuck out of here. Where's the ship?"
"We had separate groups, Emma and Hawk have the ship almost out of this base by now." Killer explained as his captain walked out of the massacre room.

Killer followed after, taking one last looked at the room, noticing the scythe had disappeared from the floor where it fell. He scoffed when taking a look at the severed head before smirking behind his mask. "It's what you get for messing with a Kidd crewmember you navy scum." And with that, he closed the metal door and headed off with his captain.

"They deserve so much worse than what Hana did to them. They got off easy, lucky bastards.." Kidd grumbled his way to his freed crew. Their doctor quickly ran over to Kidd with Hana in his arms. "I'm handing her over to you reck."
"I'll take care of her captain don't worry." Reck nodded and this time held onto Hana.

"We should get her to the ship and quick. She's already pretty pale and I can't tell where her wounds are with this much blood." Reck said as the crew quickly walked back up the stairs to get out of the place. Kidd was in his own world, his own, bloodthirsty one. He wanted to destroy this place so bad, but it was best if they just got on the ship and left.

Things outside were getting pretty hectic, with canons flying from every which way, heat and his team getting on board the ship as it started to leave base with half of the base om fire. He looked at it, proud of his masterpiece and the lovely screams that came with it. Music to his ears.
