"So, let me get this straight." Percy sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose at the headache he felt coming on, holding a half-eaten donut that he'd pretty much forgotten about in the other hand. "You decided to give your best friend a suit, but instead of acting like a sane, rational adult and saying, 'Hey, man, have a suit. You're welcome,' you decided to force him to steal it from you, like some weird test to prove that he could handle it." Percy looked out over the empty parking lot of the closed donut shop they were sitting on top of. Well, they were sitting in the hole of the giant plastic donut that was bolted to the roof, but same difference.

"No- Well, yeah. That about sums it up, yeah." Tony at least had the decency to admit that his sanity wasn't all there in the planning process of this particular idea. He was also mildly distracted by the fact that the donut hole they sat facing each other in was curved enough that it forced them into each other's personal space. Tony's foot was propped right next to Percy's waist, and Percy's leg was bent under Tony's knee, his own foot in his lap. Their other legs hung loosely over the front of the donut. Tony was still in his Iron Man suit, but the helmet was off and sitting between them.

"And to force him into a situation where he'd think he had to take it, you got piss drunk on your birthday and acted on every impulse you could come up with in the most dangerous ways possible without actually hurting anyone." Yeah, saying it like that sounded pretty bad.

"Well, it was a little more complicated than-"

"How? Explain to me how it was more complicated?" And Tony drew a blank.

"...No, you're right. It was dangerous and stupid and-"

"And to top it all off, you decided to keep this whole plan to yourself and let me stand on the sidelines, freaking out over whether or not I should step in and stop your idiocy. Wondering if I was about to watch you die over some eccentric, overcomplicated, haphazard plan to give your asshole friend a gift."

"Hey, he's not an ass-" Percy's eyes flashed to his, emerald glowing distantly in them at his irritation.

"He threw you into a fireplace and hit you with a sink. He's an asshole."

"Not in that order but-"

"I don't give a damn about the order."

"Are you ever going to let me finish a sen-"

"No. No, I'm not. You lost that right the minute you got drunk and put your life in danger-"

"Well, my life is always in danger when I'm drunk, so-

"Not in my bar-"

"We weren't in your bar-"

"Yeah, because you-"

"It's not my-"

"Just shut the fuck up already." Neither of them had noticed their faces slowly moving closer to each other until Percy closed the gap and brought them together. Tony's body moved forward instinctively, wrapping his armored arms around Percy and pulling him in. Kissing Percy was wildly different from all the women Tony had kissed before. Percy was more dominant and forceful. He didn't melt into the kiss, but rather crashed into it. He wasn't overenthusiastic. He didn't push and pull and move like he needed Tony's lips in order to breathe like some women had. He was slow but adamant in his kiss. He wanted to be in charge, but so did Tony, and Tony won when his hand moved down Percy's back to his hip, then to his ass and he gave it a squeeze, and Percy gasped, his mouth opening and allowing Tony in. He had a salty taste, like the ocean, and Tony realized that that's what Percy reminded him of; the ocean. A distant thought had him wondering if his choice to live on a cliff on the ocean had to do with that. If Percy's influence had reached through his subconscious when he bought the place. Then his mind was swept away by the lingering alcohol and the high of the kiss. He felt a calloused hand cup his face, a thumb running back and forth over his cheekbone. Percy's other hand used Tony's armored thigh for leverage as he pulled them closer.
