A Twisted Hunt

~Chapter 10~

Sam's POV

"Dean shes lost a lot of blood." i said as i laid her in the back seat of the impala i climbed in next to her putting her head on my lap

"Closest hospital is about a mile away. i can get us there in about 5 minutes." Dean said climbing into the drivers seat and turning on the impala. i nodded and returned my attention to cristal who was passed out i looked at her leg, i had wrapped a towel around it but blood was quickly soaking through the towel. i looked at her pale face and wiped off some of the blood around her eye.

"you're going to be okay cris, i promise." i said holding her head in my hands.

We arrived at the hospital and i rushed in with cristal in my arms

"Help please! Some one help her." i yelled a few nurses quickly ran over with a stretcher

"What happened?" one nurse asked

"Some type of animal attack i think it was a bear." i said laying her on the stretcher.

"Shes lost a lot of blood." a doctor told a nurse i tried running in after her but was held back by a nurse.

"Please sir you have to wait until shes in stable condition." the nurse said "we'll let you know as soon as possible." she said as she followed the stretcher through the doors.

Dean and i sat in the waiting room. i tapped my foot impatiently

"Easy there thumper." dean said trying to lighten the mood. i looked at him and he stopped smiling "shes going to be fine sam." he said patting my shoulder.

"But what if shes not?." I said "i cant loose her too not after-" i stopped not wanting to say her name, it still hurt to think about Jessica she was the only woman i felt i had a connection with, that is until i met Cristal. I looked down at the ground leaning my head on my hands.

"Family of Cristal Evans ?" A nurse said.

"Us." i said getting up

"Your her family?" the doctor asked.

"No but shes our friend and she is staying with us for a few months." Dean said

"Ok, well shes stable for now but she did loose a lot of blood and shes sedated, but she should wake up in a few hours. your welcome to stay here with her or leave and come back when shes awake." The doctor said

"Thank you doctor. can we see her?" I asked

"Yes of course. right this way." he said walking down a hallway.

He led us into a room where cristal laid in a bed her face covered in stitches and her leg was wrapped up in a few layers of gauze. I made my way over to her and sat in the nearest chair.

"If you need anything." the nurse outside would be happy to help you." the doctor said

"Thank you doc." dean said as the doctor left.

I held her hand and looked at her face which was cover in stitches where the demon had cut her. I looked at the clock on the wall 6:15 it read.

"Ill go get us some food. hospital food is the absolute worse." dean said getting out of his chair

"You gonna be okay without me?" He asked i nodded he pat my back and left.

I gently squeezed cristals hand as i placed it back on the bed i kissed her on the forehead before sitting back down.

I had fallen asleep in the hospital chair and had awoken to a nurse screaming as she tried to inject cristal with something there were about 3 other nurses surrounding her bed holding her down. cristal screamed and i ran to her side pushing through the nurses.

"Sam!" She said as she saw me

"Hey its ok im right here." i said grabbing her hand.

"She needs to calm down her heart rate is excellerating too fast." one of the nurses said. i squeezed cristals hand

"calm down cris im right here" i said. she nodded and squeezed my hand lightly.

"Ok now im just going to insert this into your iv it will help you with the pain in your leg." the nurse said inserting the needle onto the iv. as soon as it was clear that cristal was calm the extra nurses left the room.

"Sam what happened?" Cristal asked as the last nurse left the room.

"You were attacked by a hellhound dont you remember ?" I said cupping her cheek in my hand

"I remember that but everything after is black." she said putting her hand to mine.

"You were badly injured so we brought you to the hospital." i said sitting on the edge of her bed.

"I brought breakfast." dean said walking in.

"Great im starving." cristal said smiling

"Good to see you awake cris and not bleeding out in the backseat." dean joked cristal gave a small chuckle and sat up in the bed. i sat back down in the chair as dean handed me a plastic bag.

After we all had breakfast cristal fell asleep and dean suggested i went back to the motel and showered and got some sleep. He offered to stay with her so i knew she would be safe. The nurse said cristal would be asleep for a few hours since the pain medicine made her tired. I took the advice and went back the the motel.
